Kantibhai Bajaniya sells fruits on a hand cart near the Detroj bus stand. His desire was to have a small shop and start trading fruits to people who are willing to go and sell in their own villages. This however required some start up capital which Kantibhai did not have. He had plans, he is a hard working man but absence of financial resources kept him away from realising his plans. This is a business involving credit exchange thus requiring substantial initial capital, he had also seen a property he planed to rent and stock fruits but renting required payment of advance deposit, Kantibhai had limited money on hand so could not take the plunge.
Kantibhai is a resident of Detroj town in Ahmedabad, his elder son helps him in fruit selling while his younger son is studying in 10th grade. He wants to educate his younger son well. While his elders will take care of the fruit cart he will work on the fruit shop. As a father he wants to ensure his elder son is properly settled. He is an active VSSM volunteer and knows our work well. He requested VSSM to support him with some start-up capital. VSSM has provided a loan of Rs. 25,000 to him. He has bought the shop and the business is gearing up.

‘દુકાન થાય તો મારા દીકરાને થાળે પાડી દઉં’
અમદાવાદ જીલ્લાના દેત્રોજમાં કાન્તીભાઈ બજાણીયાનો પરિવાર રહે. કાન્તીભાઈ ફ્રુટની લારી લઈને દેત્રોજ બસ સ્ટેન્ડ પાસે ઉભા રહે. એમનો દીકરો મુન્નો એમને કામમાં મદદ કરે. નાનો દીકરો ધો.૧૦માં અભ્યાસ કરે. કાન્તીભાઈની ઈચ્છા ફ્રુટની દુકાન કરવાની હતી. જેથી દીકરો લારી સંભાળે અને પોતે દુકાન. વળી દુકાનમાંથી આજુબાજુના ગામના લોકો પણ ફ્રુટ વેચવા માટે લઇ જઈ શકે. (હા એમને ઉધાર જ આપવું પડે. જયારે એમનો સામાન વેચાય ત્યારે જ એ લોકો મૂડી આપે.. આમ એક રીતે એમાં પણ રોકાણ હતું. આર્થિક સ્થિતિ બહુ સારી નહિ એટલે ઝાઝું રોકાણ ના કરી શકે પણ જો હાથવગા પૈસા હોય તો રોકાણ પણ થાય.) વળી ફ્રુટ વેચવા માટેની જગ્યા મોટી હોય તો સામાન પણ વધારે રાખી શકાય. એમણે દુકાન ભાડેથી જોઈ રાખેલી પણ એની ડીપોઝીટ અને દુકાનમાં જરૂરી સમાન, ફ્રૂટનું રોકાણ કરવા માટે પૈસા જોઈએ.. પણ એમની પાસે તો કોઈ બચત હતી જ નહિ! એટલે આ સ્વપ્ન સાકાર થતું નહોતું.
કાન્તીભાઈ vssm સાથે સંકળાયેલા. એમણે આપણા લોન સંદર્ભના કામો અંગે ખ્યાલ આવ્યો. એમણે રૂ.૨૫,૦૦૦ ની લોન આપવા vssmને વિનંતી કરી. એમણે કહ્યું, ‘દુકાન થાય તો મારા દીકરાને થાળે પાડી દઉં પછી અમે ત્રણ રહ્યા. નાના દીકરાને પણ સરસ ભણાવીશ.’ આપણે લોન આપી ફોટોમાં દેખાય છે એ લારીમાં તેઓ પહેલાં વેપાર કરતા. આજે પણ એમાં વેપાર કરે જ છે પણ હવે દુકાન પણ થઇ છે જે ફોટોમાં દેખાય છે...
