 There is no magic recipe for success. Learning from failure & working harder is definitely one sure way to be successful.

Got a chance to meet Shri Ganpatbhai. He & his family stay in a house made of mud. They just about manage to survive with Ganpatbhai's limited earnings. He sells trivial cosmetic items like buckles, bangles etc. He does desire to grow his business but doesn't have funds to do that. If he takes a personal loan, he can expand but on such loans the interest is quite heavy. Moreover in case there is a difficulty in repayment there is a lot of pressure & harassment. He therefore avoids taking such loans.

He stays in Dungrasan village in Banaskantha. He stays in the Bajaniya community. Some of his relatives had taken loans from VSSM after getting in touch with our associate Shri Ishwarbhai. They did quite well in growing their business & earning more money. Moreover, the loan is given without much hassle. Seeing this,  Ganpatbhai also applied for a loan of Rs 20,000/-. We granted the loan, he bought more goods to sell & succeeded in increasing his business.  He used to travel walking everywhere. From the increased business he bought a second hand scooter Activa & travelled greater distances & earned still more. 

Ganpatbhai had a plot of his own but had no money to build the house on it. We helped him to apply for a government grant. He will soon get the funds from the government.

Ganpatbhai says that ever since he received funds from VSSM, his life is happier & more comfortable.

VSSM & Vimukt Foundation has so far helped 6800 such individuals with loans & improve their lives.

Our well wishers help us in this endeavor but Shri Pratulbhai founder of Dr K R Shroff Foundation has given us a significant donation for this cause for which I am especially thankful to him.

સફળતા પ્રાપ્ત કરવાનો કોઈ જાદુઈ મંત્ર નથી. પણ નિષ્ફળતામાંથી શીખી અને વધુ મહેનત કરીને તે મેળવી શકાય છે.

હમણાં ગણપતભાઈને મળવાનું થયું. ગાર માટીમાંથી બનાવેલા ઘરમાં એ રહે. નાનકડો પરિવાર હખે ડખે પોતાનું ગાડુ ગબડાવે રાખે. ગણપતભાઈ બોરિયા બકલ, બંગડી ટૂંકમાં મર્યાદીત શૃંગાર પ્રસાધનો વેચી જીવન જીવે. હોંશ વધારે સામાન લાવી ધંધો મોટો કરવાની ખરી પણ એ માટે પાસે પૈસા નહીં. 

ડાયરી કરાવે તો પૈસા મળે પણ એ ડાયરીવાળા તોડી નાખે એટલું વ્યાજ લે. ક્યારેક પૈસા ન ભરાય તો હેરાનગતિ પણ ઘણી કરે. એટલે ગણપતભાઈ એમાં પડે નહીં.

બનાસકાંઠાના ડુંગરાસણમાં એમનું ઘર. બજાણિયા વાસમાં એ રહે. ત્યાં એમના કુંટુબીજનોમાંથી કેટલાકે VSSM ના કાર્યકર ઈશ્વરભાઈ પાસેથી પોતાનો ધંધો વધારવા લોન લીધેલી. આ પરિવારોની પ્રગતિ એમણે જોઈ. વળી કોઈ માથાકૂટ વગર લોન મળે એમને એ ગમ્યું ને એમણે 20,000ની લોન આપવા કહ્યું.

અમે લોન આપી. ધંધામાં એમણે સામાન વધાર્યો. નફો વધ્યો. એ પગે ચાલીને ફેરી કરતા. વાહન લાવવાની હોંશ હતી પણ પૈસા નહોતા. અમે લોન આપી એમાંથી વકરો થયો એમાંથી એ જુનામાંથી એક્ટીવા લાવ્યા. હવે એ વધારે દૂર સુધી ધંધો કરવા જાય છે. 

એમની પાસે પોતાનો પ્લોટ હતો પણ મકાન બાંધવા પૈસા નહોતા. સરકારમાંથી સહાય મળે તે માટે મદદરૃપ થવાનું તો અમે કરીયે જ. ઈશ્વરભાઈએ એ માટે ફોર્મ ભરી આપ્યું. મકાન સહાય પણ ઝટ મળી જશે.

ગણપતભાઈ કહે, 'બેન સંસ્થાના પૈસા આવ્યા ત્યારથી મારે હારામાં હારુ છે. બરકત વધી છે.'

VSSM અને વિમુક્ત ફાઉન્ડેશનની મદદથી અમે અત્યાર સુધી 6800 થી વધુ પરિવારોને લોન આપી છે. આ લોન લઈને સૌ બે પાાંદડે થયા છે.

આ કાર્યમાં ઘણા પ્રિયજનો મદદ કરે પણ ડો.કે આર શ્રોફ ફાઉન્ડેશનના સ્થાપક આદરણીય શ્રી પ્રતુલભાઈની લાગણી ઘણી. એમણે આ કાર્યમાં મોટી રકમની મદદ કરી એ માટે આભારી છું. 

લોન લઈને ધંધો કરનાર તમામ પરિવારો સુખી થાય તેવી શુભભાવના પણ વ્યક્ત કરુ...

" It is not possible to walk such long distances. Why dont you buy a Activa (Scooter) to do business ?

I am afraid of scooters. 

You can make it a three wheeler.

I am still afraid of it.

You were fearful of doing business too.  But now you are not. Isn't it ?

Yes.. Business I could do and it grew also over time and I was able to get a house also. I had never dreamt of staying in a proper house.

For both my children, I have a room for each of  them to live when they grow up.. This happened only because of your help & support"

This was our conversation with Rajubhai from Dungrasan Village in Banaskantha. He said this happily, showing us his house. We had only given him  a loan. He gives credit to us because he is a man with immense gratitude.

We  gave him courage & moral support.

It was he who managed the rest of the things.

He started cutlery business with a loan on which he had to pay 10% interest. No saving was possible after allocating a small sum towards the house.  He came to know that VSSM gives loans. He asked for a loan of Rs 10,000/-.

After evaluating we gave him what was possible. His dealing with us was also very clean & straightforward..

He stayed in a house made of mud.. Our volunteer Shri Ishwarbhai helped him get a plot and financial aid of Rs 1.20 lakhs from the Government. However, this was not sufficient to build a concrete house. We at VSSM gave him a loan of Rs 50,000/-.

He used the loan partly for the house & partly for his business. From his business he started putting money for the construction of house.. On his strength of hard work  he is now getting his house ready.

Rajubhai's both the sons stay & study at our hostel. He says it is because of VSSM that he has become happy.

He always used to invite me to see his house. When I went to Banaskantha, I went to his village Dungrasan to see his house. It gave me immense pleasure to see his house. 

Owning a house gives lot of pride. He was happy now that he had a house..

I wish he buys Activa scooter and grows his business. 

We are happy that through our well wishers we could help Rajubhai in having a house.

Our only wish is that let all who are without houses have their own houses soon. 

'તમે એક્ટીવા લઈને ધંધો કરો. આમ પગપાળા ઝાઝુ ન ફરી શકાય..'

'પણ મને બહુ બીક લાગે..'

'એક્ટીવા ત્રણ પૈડા વાળુ કરાવી લો?'

'તો પણ મને બીક આવે..'

'બીક તો તમને ધંધો વધારવામાંય આવતી. પણ એ થયું ને?'

'હા ધંધોય વધ્યો ને આ ઘર પણ થયું. જો કે મે ક્યારેય કલ્પના નહોતી કરી મારા આવા ઘરની. મારા બે છોકરાં મોટા થશે તો બેયને એક રૃમનું ઘર આપી શકુ એવું થઈ ગયું. પણ તમે મદદ ન કરી હોત તો આ બધુ થવું અસંભવ હતું.'

બનાસકાંઠાના ડુંગરાસણના રાજુભાઈએ હરખાઈને પોતાનું ઘર બતાવતા આ કહ્યું. રાજુભાઈને અમે તો લોન જ આપેલી પણ એમનો કૃતજ્ઞતા ભાવ ઘણો. એટલે સઘળો જશ અમને આપે. અમે તો હીંમત આપવાનું કરેલું. બાકી મુખ્યકામ તો એમણે જ કર્યું.

દસ ટકાના વ્યાજે પૈસા લઈને એ કટલરી વેચવાનું કરતા. આમાં ઘર જોગુ નીકળતું બાકી બધુ વ્યાજમાં જતું. આવામાં ભેગું કરવાનું તો સંભવ જ નહોતું. VSSM ધંધા માટે લોન આપે એવી એમને ખબર પડી ને એમણે દસ હજાર માંગ્યા. અમારે આપવાના જ હોય તે આપ્યા ને રાજુભાઈએ વ્યવહાર પણ સરસ જાળવ્યો.

રાજુભાઈ કાચા માટીના ઘરમાં રહે એમની પાસે પાક્કુ ઘર નહીં. પ્લોટ ને મકાન સહાય મળે તે માટે અમારા કાર્યકર ઈશ્વરભાઈએ મદદ કરી ને પ્લોટ મળ્યો ને મકાન સહાય પણ મળી ગઈ. પણ 1.20 લાખમાં ઘર ન થાય એટલે બીજા 50,000 લોન પેટે એમણે લીધા. થોડા ધંધામાં નાખ્યા થોડા ઘરમાં ઉમેર્યા. ધંધામાંથી વકરો થયો એ પણ ઘરમાં નાખતા ગયા. આમ સ્વબળે ફોટોમાં દેખાય એવું સરસ મજાનું ઘર એમણે બાંધી રહ્યા છે.

રાજુભાઈના બે દિકરા પણ અમારી હોસ્ટેલમાં ભણે. રાજુભાઈ કહે, VSSM ના પ્રતાપે હું સુખી થઈ ગયો...

રાજુભાઈ જ્યારે મળે ત્યારે મારુ ઘર જોવા આવો એવું કહે તે ખાસ બનાસકાંઠા ગઈ ત્યારે એમના ગામ ડુંગરાસણમાં એમનું ઘર જોવા ગઈ. જોઈને રાજી જ થવાય. સુખી થવાના કેટલાક સોપાનોમાંનું એક ઘર પણ છે. હા એ હજુ એક્ટીવા વસાવે તેવું પણ કરવું છે. જેથી ધંધો વધે...

બસ ઘરવિહોણા તમામ પરિવારો ઘરવાળા થાય એવી શુભભાવના... ને રાજુભાઈને અમારા શુભેચ્છક સ્વજનો થકી મદદ કરવામાં નિમિત્ત બની શક્યાનો રાજીપો..
