Mukeshbhai from Aliyavada in Jamnagar proved the saying “God helps those who help themselves” true.

Mukeshbhai used to work as a scrap collector. He wanted to collect more scrap, but he did not have the capital. Through the joint initiative of VSSM and KRSF, he received a loan of ₹20,000. This small amount became a great support for his self-confidence.

It was like the famous lines of poet Narmad:

“Once you take a step forward, do not step back;

Once you take the leap, do not be afraid.”

Stability came into his scrap business. He earned, saved some money, and then developed the desire to start a dry spices business. He took another loan from us and traveled from village to village in a rented rickshaw, worked tirelessly, expanded his business, and saved more money.

To save on rental expenses, he dreamed of owning his own vehicle. Once again, he took a loan, added his life’s savings, and Mukeshbhai became the owner of his own vehicle.

Mukeshbhai repaid all the loans on time and with complete honesty. When a person’s intentions are pure, nature also supports them. With that support, he moved ahead.

We had not imagined such progress in Mukeshbhai’s life. When we went to Aliyavada to see how far the human rights work for all these families had reached, after the meeting Mukeshbhai said, “Sister, I want to show you something,” and he showed us his vehicle, saying that he had reached this point because of the support of the organization.

Seeing and hearing all this made us very happy. We wish Mukeshbhai great success and continued progress.

જ્યારે મહેનત અને પ્રમાણિકતા ભેગા થાય ત્યારે સફળતા મળે

"હિંમતે મર્દા તો મદદે ખુદા" આ કહેવતને જામનગરના અલિયાવાડાના મુકેશભાઈએ સાર્થક કરી બતાવી.

મુકેશભાઈ ભંગાર ભેગો કરવાનું કામ કરતા. ઈચ્છા વધુ ભંગાર ભેગો કરવાની હતી પણ પાસે મૂડી નહોતી. VSSM અને KRSF ની સંયુક્ત પહેલ દ્વારા તેમને ₹20,000 ની લોન મળી. આ નાનકડી રકમ તેમના આત્મવિશ્વાસ માટે મોટું ટેકણ સાબિત થઈ.

કવિ નર્મદની પેલી પંક્તિઓ જેવું થયું, "ડગલું ભર્યું કે ના હટવું, ના હટવું; ઝંપલાવ્યું તો હવે ના ડરવું, ના ડરવું.

ભંગારના ધંધામાં સ્થિરતા આવી. કમાયા, બચત પણ થઈ હવે સૂકા મસાલાનો વેપાર કરવાની ભાવના થઈ. અમારી પાસેથી બીજી લોન લીધી ને ભાડાની રિક્ષામાં ગામડે-ગામડે ભમ્યા, પરસેવો પાડ્યો, વેપાર વધ્યો ને બચત પણ કરી.

ભાડાના ખર્ચને બચાવવા પોતાનું વાહન લેવાનું સ્વપ્ન જોયું. ફરી લોન લીધી, પોતાની જિંદગીની મૂડી એટલે કે બચત ઉમેરી અને મુકેશભાઈ પોતાની ગાડીના માલિક બન્યા.

મુકેશભાઈએ લીધેલી લોન સમયસર અને પ્રમાણિકપણે ભરપાઈ કરી. જ્યારે માણસની દાનત સાફ હોય, ત્યારે કુદરત પણ સાથ આપે. એ સાથના પ્રતાપે એ આગળ આવ્યા.

મુકેશભાઈના જીવનમાં આ પ્રગતિ થઈ એનો અંદાજ અમને નહોતા. અમે અલિયાવાડામાં આ બધા પરિવારોના માનવ અધિકારના કામો ક્યાં પહોંચ્યા એ જોવા ગયા ત્યાં બેઠક પત્યા પછી મુકેશભાઈએ કહ્યું, "બેન તમને કશું બતાવવું છે" ને એમણે પોતાનું વાહન બતાવી સંસ્થાના પ્રતાપે અહીં પહોંચ્યાનું કહ્યું.

Mittal Patel meets nomadic families of Vadodara

Sanjaybhai Nat from Vadodara is a hardworking and talented artist. The dhol and shehnai are traditional instruments linked to his ancestral profession — they are what give him his identity as a Nat. Although he possessed the skill, he didn’t have enough money to buy his own instruments. Because of this, instead of performing independently, he would join a relative’s team in Surendranagar.

One day, he learned that KRSF and VSSM provide loans to people who want to start their own small businesses. He contacted our Vadodara volunteer, Sunil, and took his first loan, with which he bought 20 dhols. Later, with a second loan, he purchased shehnais and proper uniforms for his team.

Today, Sanjaybhai has his own independent team. He receives orders and performs programs across Vadodara district and many other regions.

He says,“The organization breathed life into my career. I can never forget this support. Otherwise, who gives loans based on trust alone!”

Through the initiative of KRSF and VSSM, more than 12,000 families today run their own independent livelihoods and have become self-reliant.

We feel immense joy in becoming instruments of change in the lives of many like Sanjaybhai.

વડોદરાના સંજયભાઈ નટ, મહેનતકશ અને પ્રતિભાશાળી કલાકાર. ઢોલ અને શરણાઈ એમના પરંપરાગત ધંધા સાથે જોડાયેલા સાધન, જે એમને નટ તરીકેની ઓળખ આપે. સંજયભાઈ પાસે આ કળા તો હતી, પણ સાધન ખરીદવા માટે પૈસા નહોતાં. તેથી સ્વતંત્ર રીતે વગાડવા જવાની જગ્યાએ, તેઓ સુરેન્દ્રનગરમાં રહેતા સગાની ટીમમાં વગાડવા જતા.

એક દિવસ તેમને ખબર પડી કે KRSF અને VSSM એવા લોકોને લોન આપે છે, જે પોતાનો સ્વતંત્ર ધંધો શરૂ કરવા માંગે છે. એમણે વડોદરાના અમારા કાર્યકર સુનીલનો સંપર્ક કર્યો અને પ્રથમ લોન લીધી જેમાંથી એમણે 20 ઢોલ ખરીદ્યા. એ પછી બીજી લોનથી શરણાઈ અને પોતાની ટીમ માટે સરસ યુનિફોર્મ લીધાં.

આજે સંજયભાઈ પાસે પોતાની ટીમ છે. તેઓ વડોદરા જિલ્લા સહિત અનેક વિસ્તારોમાં સ્વતંત્ર રીતે ઓર્ડર લઈને પ્રોગ્રામ કરવા જાય છે. એમણે કહે, "સંસ્થાએ મારા જીવનમાં પ્રાણ ફૂંક્યા. એનું ઋણ હું ક્યારેય ન ભૂલુ. બાકી અમારા પર ભરોસો કરીને લોન આપવાનું કોણ કરે!" 

KRSF અને VSSM ની પહેલથી 12,000 થી વધુ પરિવારો આજે પોતાનો સ્વતંત્ર ધંધો કરી સ્વાવલંબી બન્યા છે. સંજયભાઈ જેવા અનેકોના જીવનમાં નિમિત્ત બન્યાનો અમને આનંદ..

Mittal Patel meets Nasib in Vadi settlement of Vadodara

Fortune is his name, yet fortune never favored him.

Born into the Madari community, Nasib could not study much. His father used to perform snake-charming acts, but when the practice was banned, the family was pushed into deep struggle. To support the household, Nasib worked as a daily-wage laborer — yet it was never enough to gather any meaningful savings.

He dreamed of changing his life by owning his own rickshaw.

He saved a certain amount through hard labor and requested the remaining amount as a loan from our volunteer Sunilbhai through the organization. We provided the loan, and he bought the rickshaw.

Today, Nasib proudly drives his rickshaw through the streets of Vadodara.

He says, “Now I drive my rickshaw with full confidence!”

The joy on his face is truly remarkable.

Nasib still lives in a small hut, enduring dirt and difficulties during the monsoon.

His dream is to buy an eco-friendly vehicle and build a permanent house.

Seeing his dedication and hard work, it is certain that his dreams will come true soon.

Through the combined efforts of KRSF and VSSM, over 12,000 families like Nasib’s have become self-reliant and started independent livelihoods.

નસીબ જેનું નામ પણ એનું નસીબ ચમકે નહીં.

મદારી સમુદાયમાં જન્મેલો નસીબ ઝાઝુ ભણી ન શક્યો. પિતા તો સાપનો ખેલ કરતા પણ એના પર પ્રતિબંધ આવ્યો. પરિવાર જીવવા માટે સંઘર્ષ કરવા લાગ્યો. નસીબ છૂટક મજૂરી કરી ઘર ચલાવવામાં ફાળો આપે. પણ એથી કંઈ ઝાઝું ભેગું ન થાય.

જીવન બદલવા પોતાની રીક્ષા ખરીદવાનું એણે સપનું સેવ્યું.

એણે મજૂરી કરીને ચોક્કસ રકમ ભેગી ને બાકીની એણે અમારા કાર્યકર સુનીલભાઈને સંસ્થામાંથી લોન પેટે આપવા કહ્યું. અમે લોન આપી ને એ રીક્ષા લાવ્યો.  

આજે નસીબ વડોદરાની ગલીઓમાં ગર્વથી પોતાની રીક્ષા ચલાવે છે. એ કહે,"હવે હું વટથી રીક્ષા ચલાવું છું!" એનાં ચહેરા પરનો આનંદ અદભૂત.

નસીબ હજુ છાપરામાં રહે છે, ચોમાસામાં ગંદકી અને મુશ્કેલીઓ સહેવી પડે છે,

એનું સપનું ઈકો ગાડી ખરીદવાનું અને પાકુ ઘર બનાવવાનું.

નસીબની મહેનત અને લગન જોઈને એનું સપનુ ઝટ સાકાર થશે એમ ચોક્કસ કહી શકાય.

KRSF અને VSSM ની સંયુક્ત પહેલથી આજ સુધી 12,000 પરિવારો નસીબની જેમ પોતાના પગ પર ઉભા થઈ સ્વતંત્ર ધંધો કરતા થયા છે.

 The Story of Ajaybhai from Savli (Vadodara) and Namisar

When difficulties arise in life, a person is often forced to seek help from others. But life changes only when someone holds your hand and guides you in the right direction.

We were fortunate to meet not just one, but two Ajaybhais — and we became an instrument in bringing happiness into their lives.

Both of them had little formal education and survived on daily wage labor. It was hard to fulfill basic household needs, and during emergencies, they were often forced to borrow money, sinking under the burden of debt.

They learned that KRSF and VSSM provide loans to help start small businesses. With the help of our volunteer Sunilbhai, they applied for the loan. Both Ajaybhais had learned to repair gas stoves and mixers. With the loan, they started their own small repair work.

Slowly, their hard work began to pay off. Today, they easily earn ₹500–₹700 per day.

Ajaybhai proudly says: “If the organization hadn’t supported us, life would have been very difficult. Whenever we borrowed money from outside lenders, we had to pay back such heavy interest that it would break our back. If we took ₹30,000, we had to return ₹50,000 with interest. Now we’ve completely stopped taking such loans. Sunilbhai even taught us how to save.”

Every month, Ajaybhai donates ₹100 to the organization. He says:“Right now, I give ₹100 a month, but my wish is to give ₹200 every month — permanently.”

They do not earn a lot, yet the spirit of giving back from whatever little they have is truly admirable. May God fulfill all their wishes.

Through the self-reliance program of KRSF and VSSM, thousands of people like Ajaybhai have transformed their lives.

Our prayer is that God continues to make us instruments in such noble work.

વડોદરાના સાવલી અને નમીસરાના અજયભાઈની કહાની

જીવનમાં મુશ્કેલી આવે ત્યારે માણસે બીજા પાસે હાથ ફેલાવવો પડે, આવામાં સાચી દિશા બતાવી શકે તેવા કોઈ હાથ પકડી લે તો જિંદગી બદલાઈ જાય. 

અમને એક નહીં પણ બે અજય ભાઈ મળ્યા. જેમના જીવનમાં સુખ લાવવામાં અમે નિમિત્ત બન્યા. 

આ બેઉ ભણ્યા ઓછુ, છુટક મજૂરી પર નભે. ઘરની જરૂરિયાત પૂરી થવી મુશ્કેલ. ક્યારેક જરૃરિયાતના સમયે કરજ કરવું પડે ને એના ભાર નીચે જાણે દબાઈ જાય.

એમને ખબર પડી કે  KRSF અને VSSM તરફથી વ્યવસાય કરવા લોન મળે છે. એટલે અમારા કાર્યકર સુનિલભાઈની મદદથી એમણે લોન માટે અરજી કરી. બેઉ અજયભાઈએ ગેસ અને મીક્ચર રીપેરીંગનું કામ શીખ્યું હતું, અમારી લોનથી એ કામ શરૃ કર્યું. ધીમે ધીમે મહેનત રંગ લાવતી ગઈ.  આજે એ દિવસના ₹500 - ₹700 આરામથી કમાઈ લે છે. 

અજયભાઈ ખૂબ ગૌરવથી કહે છે, "જો સંસ્થાએ હાથ ન પકડ્યો હોત તો જીવતર અઘરુ હતું. બહારથી ક્યારેક વ્યાજવા પૈસા લઈએ તો એનું કમરતૂટી જાય એવું વ્યાજ આપવું પડતું. જેમ કે 30,000 રૂપિયા લઈએ તો વ્યાજ સાથે 50,000 પાછા ભરવા પડે. હવે અમે બહારથી વ્યાજના પૈસા લેવાનું સદંતર બંધ કર્યું. સુનિલભાઈએ બચત કરવાનું પણ શીખવ્યું."

સંસ્થાને દર મહિને ₹100 અનુદાન આપતા અજયભાઈ કહે છે, "હાલ હું દર મહિને ₹100 આપું છું પણ મારી ઇચ્છા દર મહિને ૨૦૦ એ પણ કાયમ આપવાની છે."

અજયભાઈ ઝાઝું કમાતા નથી પણ એમને જે મળે એમાંથી અન્યોના સુખ માટે આપવાની એમની ભાવના ઉત્તમ. ઈશ્વર એમની મનોકામના પૂર્ણ કરે એવી પ્રાર્થના.

KRSF અને VSSMના સ્વાવલંબન કાર્યક્રમ થકી અજયભાઈ જેવા હજારો લોકોની જિંદગી બદલાઈ છે.

ઈશ્વર હંમેશા અમને આવા સદકાર્યમાં નિમિત્ત બનાવે – એ જ પ્રાર્થના.

Hiraben’s story is a living example of courage, struggle, and self-respect...

Hiraben bought goods from Mumbai's Chor Bazaar 

When Hiraben said she brought goods from Mumbai’s Chor Bazaar, people assumed she dealt in stolen items. But in reality, she collected things discarded as scrap and sold them in Surendranagar’s Gujri Bazaar.

Hiraben’s story is a living example of courage, struggle, and self-respect. She never stepped into a school, yet learned life’s lessons through experience. In Surendranagar’s Gujri Bazaar, she commands great respect, and people enthusiastically buy goods from her.

When travelling by train with bundles of goods, the police would sometimes stop her and ask what she was carrying — and the answer she gave would leave them stunned.

With the help of a loan from KRSF and VSSM, she expanded her business vigorously. Today she earns well and stands on her own feet.

Hiraben says,“Every woman should earn, because during tough times, if we earn ourselves, we can raise our children well.”

These words are not just her personal experience, but an inspiration to every woman in society.

Living in a small hut in Surendranagar, Hiraben now has a two-room house with a kitchen thanks to VSSM’s efforts. Today she has the comfort of a home, enthusiasm for her work, and peace in her life.

Our volunteer Harshadbhai finds and supports many women like Hiraben. It is an honour to have such compassionate volunteers with us.

Our KRSF founder, Pratulbhai, also heard Hiraben’s story. During his visit to Surendranagar, he met her personally. He, too, felt proud to see such families becoming self-reliant.

“For those who keep courage, paths emerge on their own;

When a woman rises, even the world bows before her.”

Hiraben’s journey was difficult, but with courage, determination, and timely support, her life transformed.

Together with KRSF, VSSM, and many well-wishers, we take pride in having helped more than 12,000 families earn a dignified livelihood.

મુંબઈના ચોર બજારમાંથી હું સામાન લાવું એવું હીરાબહેન કહે ત્યારે રખેને એમ માનતા કે એ ચોરીનો સામાન લાવે. પણ લોકોએ ભંગારમાંથી કાઢી દીધેલો સામાન એ લઈ આવે ને સુરેન્દ્રનગરના ગુજરી બજારમાં વેચે. 

હીરાબહેનની કહાણી હિંમત, સંઘર્ષ અને સ્વાભિમાનનું જીવતું ઉદાહરણ. શાળાનું પગથિયું ન ચડેલા હીરાબહેન જીવનનો પાઠ જાતે શીખ્યા. સુરેન્દ્રનગરની ગુજરી બજારમાં એમનો જબરો દબદબો. લોકો એમની પાસે ઉત્સાહભેર સામાન ખરીદે.

ટ્રેનમાં પોટકા ઉચકીને લાવતી હીરાબહેનને પોલીસ ક્યારેક આ શું લઈને જાવ એવું પૂછે ત્યારે તે પોલીને એ જે જવાબ આપે એ સૌને આશ્ચર્યમાં મૂકે એવો.

KRSF અને VSSM દ્વારા મળેલી લોનથી તેઓએ ધંધો વધારે જોરશોરથી શરૂ કર્યો. આજે સારું કમાય છે, પોતાના પગ પર ઊભા છે.

હીરાબહેન કહે છે – “દરેક બહેને કમાવવું જોઈએ, કેમ કે જીવનના કપરા સમયમાં પોતે કમાતા હોઈએ તો સંતાનોને ઉછેરી શકીએ.”

આ શબ્દો માત્ર એમના અનુભવ નથી, પણ સમાજની દરેક સ્ત્રી માટે પ્રેરણારૃપ.

સુરેન્દ્રનગરના ઝૂંપડામાં રહેતી હીરાબહેનને VSSM ના પ્રયાસોથી હવે બે રૂમ અને રસોડાવાળું ઘર મળ્યું છે. હવે એમને ઘરનો આરામ છે, ધંધાનો ઉત્સાહ છે અને જીવનમાં નિરાંત છે.

અમારા કાર્યકર હર્ષદભાઈ હીરાબેન જેવા અનેકોને શોધી તેમને મદદરૃપ થાય. એમના જેવા સંવેદનશીલ કાર્યકર સાથે હોવાનું ગૌરવ. 

હીરાબહેનની સંઘર્ષની કહાની અમારા KRSF ના સ્થાપક પ્રતુલભાઈએ પણ સાંભળી. સુરેન્દ્રનગર એક કામથી એમને જવાનું થયું ને એમણે હીરાબહેનને મળ્યા. આવા પરિવારોને પગભર કર્યાનો એમને પણ રાજીપો. 

"હિંમત રાખે જેને, માર્ગ ખુદ મળી જાય,

સ્ત્રી જો ઊભી થાય તો દુનિયા પણ એને વંદન કરે."

હીરાબહેનની સફર મુશ્કેલ હતી. પણ એમને હિંમત, મક્કમતા અને સહયોગ મળ્યો એટલે જીવન પણ બદલાયું. 

KRSF અન VSSM સાથે સંકળાયેલા અન્ય સ્વજનો સાથે મળીને અત્યાર સુધી 12,000 થી વધારે પરિવારોને અમે સ્વમાનભેર રોજી રોટી રળતા કર્યાનો રાજીપો.

Ramchandrabhai – A Story of Hard Work and Hope...

"Ramchandrabhai, your name is so nice! Who gave it to you?" I asked.

Ramchandrabhai smiled shyly. His mother, who was standing beside him, replied,

"I did. I named him after Lord Ram, hoping he would grow up to be a son like him."

"Is he that kind of son?" I asked.

She smiled proudly, "Yes, he takes very good care of us."

Ramchandrabhai and his entire family live in Palanpur and collect and sell empty cement bags. But to buy those bags in the first place, they need capital — which they often borrow on heavy interest.

We asked him how much interest they pay. He said,

"If we take ₹1000, they cut ₹100 and give us ₹900 — but by evening, we have to return the full ₹1000."

We were shocked to hear this.

When they try to sell only a few bags, they don’t get good prices. But when they collect in bulk, they earn better. One of our field workers, Pareshbhai, got to know Ramchandrabhai’s situation and suggested a loan. Ramchandrabhai agreed happily.

His father, sister, and he — all three took small loans from us.

Now, their business rotation has improved, and they are making decent profits.

They still live in a rented house. Ramchandrabhai says,

"I want to earn enough to take a contract for collecting cement bags from big building sites... and then build a house of my own."

We pray that his dream comes true.

Thanks to KRSF and VSSM, more than 12,000 families have been supported with small loans to start or grow their independent work.

Today, Ramchandrabhai donates ₹200 every month from his income. He says,

"I was helped when I needed it. Now it's my duty to give back and think of others' well-being."

We wish happiness and prosperity to Ramchandrabhai and his family.

"રામચંદ્રભાઈ તમારુ નામ સરસ છે કોણે પાડ્યું?"

મારી વાત સાંભળી રામચંદ્રભાઈ થોડા શરમાયા. બાજુમાં એમના મમ્મી ઊભા હતા એમણે કહ્યું, "મે પાડ્યું. ભગવાન રામનું નામ એમના જેવો દિકરો થાય એવું ગમે એટલે."

"તે એવો દિકરા છે?"

"હા અમારુ ખુબ ધ્યાન રાખે."

પાલનપુરમાં રહેતા રામચંદ્રભાઈ અને તેમનો આખો પરિવાર સીમેન્ટની ખાલી થેલી ભેગી કરી વેચવાનું કરે. ખાલી થેલી ખરીદવા મૂડી જોઈએ જે વ્યાજથી લાવે પણ વ્યાજ તગડુ ચુકવે. અમે પુછ્યું કેટલું વ્યાજ તો એમણે કહ્યું, 1000 રૃપિયા લઈએ તો 100 કાપીને 900 આપે જે સાંજે પાછા 1000 આપી દેવાના.

સાંભળીને આંખો પહોળી થઈ ગયેલી. 

ખાલી સીમેન્ટની થોડી થેલી વેચવા જાય તો ઈચ્છીત ભાવ ન મળે પણ વધારે ભેગી થાય તો સારો ભાવ મળે. અમારા કાર્યકર પરેશભાઈ, રામચંદ્રભાઈના સંપર્કમાં એમની સ્થિતિ પણ જાણે એટલે એક દિવસ લોન આપવા વાત કરી. રામચંદ્રભાઈ તો એનાથી રાજી. એમના પિતા, બહેન અને એમણે ત્રણેયે અમારી પાસેથી લોન લીધી. 

હવે એમનું રોટેશન સરસ થવા માંડ્યું છે. સારો એવો નફો થાય છે. 

એમની પાસે પોતાનું ઘર નથી. ભાડાનાઘરમાં એ રહે. એ કહે, મોટી બિલ્ડીંગ બંધાતી હોય તેની ખાલી સીમેન્ટની થેલીઓ લેવાનો કોન્ટ્રાક્ટ રાખી શકુ એટલા પૈસા કમાવવા છે ને પછી મારુ પોતાનું ઘર બનાવવું છે.

રામચંદ્રભાઈની ઈચ્છા પુરી થાય એવી પ્રાર્થના.

KRSF અને VSSM અત્યાર સુધી 12,000 થી વધારે પરિવારોને સ્વતંત્ર ધંધો કરવા આ રીતે લોન આપી શક્યા તેનો રાજીપો.

રામચંદ્રભાઈ એમની કમાણીમાંથી દર મહિને 200 રૃપિયાનું અનુદાન આપે છે. એ કહે મને કોઈએ મદદ કરી તો પછી મને જે મળે એમાંથી અન્યોના કલ્યાણ માટે વિચારવાની મારી ફરજ.

"I stand on my own two feet; I earn enough to support a respectable family life, and I do not have to endure feelings of helplessness." What immense pride a person must feel making such a statement! Additionally, how satisfying it is to empower someone to feel that pride!

Our friend Kesnathbhai lives in Tharad town, located in Banaskantha. The Nathwaadi community is traditionally known for snake charming, where they handle and perform with snakes. However, as this business has declined, some members of the community have resorted to begging to support themselves. Fortunately, VSSM provided support for Kesnathbhai many years ago. VSSM helped the family obtain Aadhaar cards (identity cards) for those living in Shivnagar, Tharad. Additionally, VSSM assisted in acquiring a plot of land, where a house was built for the family.

Kesnathbhai started several types of businesses, beginning with coal-making after taking a loan from our organization. He is very loyal, and his sincere faith in the organization is unwavering. These qualities have enabled him to progress remarkably well. Today, he owns four plots of land, several cars, and a house in Tharad. However, he has not forgotten his gratitude to the organization. He often expresses it with a simple statement: "When I had nothing, the organization held my hand, and because of that support, I have come this far today."

We did not anticipate such significant progress. We organized a discussion with individuals who received loans from the organization to help them become self-sufficient. We talked about what could be done under the self-help program and what additional support could be provided in the future. During this meeting, many participants, including Kesnathbhai, shared their success stories and how they benefited from the loans provided by the institute. We ourselves were truly amazed by the impact of our mission.

The K.R. Shroff Foundation and the "VIMUKT" Foundation have partnered with the VSSM self-help program. Through the collaborative efforts of these three organizations, over 11,000 families have received loans to start their own businesses, and the majority of them have reported high levels of satisfaction.

During the meeting, we honored several individuals: those who took out loans from the organization and went on to have very successful careers, those who faced significant family challenges yet consistently made their loan payments, and those who, as community leaders, helped others achieve economic stability.

There was a suggestion to create a women's congregation. It was discussed that a significant amount of work is needed to support women in establishing their own independent businesses. 

It is commendable that all loan holders contribute to us with monthly donations. Their charitable contributions to the institute are just as important and great as those made by donors of substantial amounts. 

During the program, everyone talked about the idea of forming their own banks, which would allow them to secure small or large loans as needed.

The self-help program is currently being implemented by the respected Shri Pratulbhai Shroff and several well-wishers associated with the organization. It brings us great joy to provide livelihoods to many individuals through this initiative. 

We hope that God continues to make us instruments for the maximum good of the greatest number of people.

હું મારા પગ પર ઉભો છું, હું મારા પરિવારને માનભેર જીવાડી શકુ એટલું કમાવુ છું, મારે કોઈની ઓશિયાળી વેઠવાની થતી નથી.. આવા વિધાન બોલતા માણસને કેવો ગર્વ થાય. વળી આવો ગર્વ અપાવવાનું કામ કરવું એ તો કેટલું મજાનું.

અમારા કેશનાથભાઈ બનાસકાંઠાના થરાદમાં રહે. નાથવાદી સમુદાયનો પરંપરાગત ધંધો સાપના ખેલ બતાવવાનો. પણ એ પડી ભાંગ્યો પછી સમુદાયમાંથી કેટલાક ભીક્ષા માંગી પેટિયું રળવા માંડ્યા. પણ કેશનાથભાઈના ટેકામાં VSSM વર્ષો પહેલા આવ્યું. થરાદના શિવનગરમાં રહેતા પરિવારના ઓળખના આધારો, રહેવા પ્લોટ ને પછી તો ઘર પણ બન્યા. 

કેશનાથભાઈ અમારી પાસેથી લોન લઈને કોલસા પાડવાથી લઈને અનેક પ્રકારના વ્યવસાય શરૃ કર્યા. નિષ્ઠાવાન અને સંસ્થા માટે એમની શ્રદ્ધા ગજબ એટલે પ્રગતિ પણ ખુબ સારી થઈ. આજે એમની પાસે થરાદમાં રહેણાંક અર્થે ચાર પ્લોટ, ગાડી, ઘર બધુ જ છે. પણ એ સંસ્થાનું ઋણ નથી ભૂલ્યા. એ એક જ વાક્યમાં પોતાની વાત કરે, જ્યારે મારી પાસે કશું નહોતું ત્યારે સંસ્થાએ મારો હાથ પકડ્યો ને આજે હું આટલે પહોંચી શક્યો.

એમની આટલી પ્રગતિનો અંદાજ નહોતો પણ અમે થરાદમાં સંસ્થાએ જેમને બે પાંદડે થવા લોન આપી છે એ લોકોની એક બેઠક ભવિષ્યમાં સ્વાવલંબન કાર્યક્રમ અંતર્ગત શું કરી શકાય અને ક્યા પ્રકારની વધારે મદદની જરૃર છે એ અંગે વાત કરવા એક ચર્ચા સભાનું આયોજન કર્યું. આ સભામાં કેશનાથભાઈ જેવા અનેક વ્યક્તિઓએ સંસ્થામાંથી મળેલી લોનથી કેવી પ્રગતિ કરી એની વાત કરી ત્યારે આ કાર્ય માટે અમને પોતાને હરખ થયો. 

VSSM ના સ્વાવલંબન કાર્યક્રમમાં આજે ડો. કે.આર.ફાઉન્ડેશન અને વિમુક્ત ફાઉન્ડેશન પણ જોડાયું છે. ત્રણે સંસ્થાના પ્રયાસથી 11,000થી વધારે પરિવારોને સ્વતંત્ર ધંધો કરવા લોન મળી છે ને એમાંના ઘણા ખરા ખુબ સુખી થયા છે. 

સંસ્થાએ જે પરિવારોને લોન આપી તેમાંથી લોન લઈને જે વ્યક્તિઓએ ખુબ સારી તરક્કી કરી હોય, 

 જેમને લોન લીધી પણ પછી ઘરમાં ભયંકર તકલીફ આવી હોય છતાં લોનના હપ્તા નિયમીત ભર્યા હોય, જેઓ આગેવાનની ભૂમિકામાં હોય ને પોતાની સાથે સાથે અન્ય વ્યક્તિઓને પણ બે પાંદડે થવા મદદ કરી હોય તે સૌનું સન્માન પણ કાર્યક્રમમાં થયું.

આદરણીય પ્રતુલભાઈ શ્રોફ અને સંસ્થા સાથે સંકળાયેલા અનેક સ્વજનો મારફત આ સ્વાવલંબન કાર્યક્રમ ચાલી રહ્યો છે. આ કાર્યક્રમ અંતર્ગત અનેકોને રોજી આપી શક્યાનો આનંદ પણ છે..

 "I studied up to 10th grade and then started selling cutlery. In business, no matter how much capital you invest, it’s always less. I didn’t have much capital, so I started the cutlery business with whatever I had.

While having big dreams is important, the way I was doing business, I felt it would take years to fulfill those dreams. That’s when I got the idea of applying for a loan through KRSF in collaboration with the VSSM organization. Through my uncle, Chandubhai, we applied for a loan at the organization, and I received my first loan of 30,000. I used to run my business from an Activa. After receiving the loan, I purchased bulk goods from Pankor Naka in Ahmedabad, which helped me save money. Later, I took a second loan of 50,000. From the savings and the new loan, I added a bit more and made a down payment of 1 lakh to buy an Eco car. For the remaining amount, I took a loan from a finance company.

Now, with the car, my wife and I travel to three or four villages for the business. Our daily income has also become stable. My goal is to pay off the installments for the Eco car quickly so that I can get rid of the interest."

Gopalbhai, who lives in Sarasa gam in Anand district , quickly spoke these words in front of the founder of Dr. K.R. Shroff Foundation, the respected *Shri Pratulbhai Shroff.

Pratulbhai believes that education and financial stability can change a person’s life, which is why he helps underprivileged families who wish to start or expand their businesses. VSSM and KRSF have helped over 9,400 families so far to earn their livelihood with dignity.

After hearing Gopalbhai’s story, Pratulbhai asked him about his dreams, and Gopalbhai said, "I want to have my own shop."

When a person starts dreaming, it doesn’t take long for their situation to improve. Meeting Gopalbhai made me realize that... I wish for his dreams to come true soon."

'હું દસ ધોરણ ભણ્યો પછી કટલરી વેચવાનું શરૃ કર્યું. ધંધામાં તો કેવું જેટલી મૂડી નાખો એટલી ઓછી. મારી પાસે ઝાઝી મુડી નહોતી. એટલે જે હતું એમાંથી કટલરીનો વેપાર શરૃ કર્યો.

સપના ઊંચા જોવું પણ જે રીતે ધંધો કરતો એ રીતે એ બધું પુરુ કરવામાં વર્ષો થઈ જશે એમ લાગતું. આવામાં મને KRSF એ VSSM સંસ્થા સાથે મળીને લોન આપવાનું કાર્ય કરેનો ખ્યાલ આવ્યો. મારા કાકા ચંદુભાઈ થકી અમે સંસ્થામાં લોન મુકી ને પ્રથમ લોન 30,000ની મળી. હું એક્ટીવા પર ધંધો કરતો. લોનની રકમ મળી એટલે જથ્થાબંધ સામાન પાનકોર નાકા અમદાવાદથી લાવ્યો. બચત પણ થઈ. એ પછી મે બીજી લોન 50,000ની લીધી. બચત અને નવી લોનની રકમમાંથી થોડા ઉમેરી 1 લાખનું ડાઉનપેમેન્ટ ભરી મે ઈકો ગાડી લીધી. ખૂટતી રકમની મે ફાયનાન્સ કંપનીમાંથી લોન કરી. 

હવે ગાડી આવી તો ત્રણેક ગામોમાં હુ ને મારી પત્ની બેય ધંધા માટે જઈએ છીએ. રોજની આવક પણ સરખી થાય છે. પ્રયાસ ઈકોના હપ્તા ઝટ પતાવવાનો છે જેથી હું વ્યાજમાંથી બહાર નીકળી જવું.'

આણંદના સારસાગામમાં રહેતા ગોપાલભાઈ ડો કે.આર.શ્રોફ ફાઉન્ડેશનના સ્થાપક આદરણીય *શ્રી પ્રતુલભાઈ શ્રોફ સામે ફટાફટ આ બોલી ગયા. 

શિક્ષણ અને આર્થિક સદ્ધરતા કોઈનું જીવન બદલી શકે એવું પ્રતુલભાઈ માને ને એટલે વંચિત અને વ્યવસાય શરૃ કરવાની અથવા તેને વધારવાની રાખનાર પરિવારોને મદદ કરે. VSSM અને KRSF એ અત્યાર સુધી 9400 થી વધુ પરિવારોને સ્વમાનભેર રોજી મળી શકે તે માટે મદદ કરી છે.

"Instead of giving me ration, help me start a business... I don’t like sitting idle and eating." If a young person says this, it’s understandable, but this is what 82-year-old Jeevan Kaka was saying. There’s no one in his family. He sleeps in the courtyard of the Mataji temple in Kheda’s Beedj. He lived his life working hard, but was never able to own a house.

We provided Jeevan Kaka with ration every month under the maintenance program, so that he could make his own living and not have to depend on others. But Kaka didn’t like the idea of receiving free food.

One day, Dimpleben from our organization, along with our associate Inderbhai, went to Bidaj in Kheda where they met Jeevan Kaka.

When they inquired about his well-being, Kaka talked about wanting a source of livelihood. In his youth, Kaka used to sell plastic items from a cart. They decided to help him sell those items again, and respected Inder Modi offered to assist.

It’s been around three months since then. Help came through, and Kaka started selling items from the cart. Recently, when I went to Bidaj with Inder Modi, we met Jeevan Kaka again. Kaka said, "Now I have dignity. As long as my hands and feet work, I will work, and if I do business like this, my health will stay good."

We had many conversations with Kaka, but there was no trace of despair or fatigue in his life. Kaka is an inspiration to many... I bow to him in respect.

Thanks to the respected Inder Modi for understanding Jeevan Kaka’s feelings and helping him. As VSSM, we are honored to have been a part of this process...

મને તમે રાશન આપો એના કરતાં મને ધંધો કરી આપો ને.. મને આમ બેસી ને ખાવું ગમતું નથી.' કોઈ જુવાન વ્યક્તિ આવુ કહે તો સમજાય પણ અમને આ કહી રહ્યા હતા 82 વર્ષીય જીવણ કાકા. એમના પરિવારમાં કોઈ નહીં. ખેડાના બીડજમાં માતાજીના મંદિરના ઓટલે એ સુઈ રહે. મહેનત મજૂરી કરીને જીંદગી જીવ્યા. પણ ઘર ન કરી શક્યા. 

જીવણકાકાને અમે માવજત કાર્યક્રમ અંતર્ગત દર મહિને રાશન આપીયે. જેથી એ પોતાના જોગુ બનાવી જીવી શકે. કોઈની ઓશિયાળી વેઠવાની ન થાય. પણ કાકાને આ મફતનું ખાવું ગમે નહીં.

એક દિવસ અમારા ડિમ્પલબેન અમારી સંસ્થા સાથે સંકળાયેલા સ્વજન ઈન્દ્રભાઈ સાથે ખેડાના બીડજમાં ગયા ત્યાં જીવણકાકા મળ્યા.

એમની ખબર અંતર પુછતા કાકાએ રોજીરોટીનું સાધન કરી દેવાની વાત કરી. કાકા યુવાનીમાં લારી લઈને પ્લાસ્ટિકની ચીજો વેચવાનું કરતા. તે એ જ ચીજો વેચવા મદદ કરવાનું નક્કી કર્યું ને આદરણીય ઇન્દ્ર મોદીએ એ માટે મદદ કરવા કહ્યું. 

આ વાતને ત્રણેક મહિના થયા. મદદ પહોંચી ને કાકાએ લારી પર સામાન વેચવાનું શરૃ કર્યું. હમણાં બીડજ ઇન્દ્ર મોદી સાથે જવાનું થયું ને જીવણકાકા મળ્યા. કાકાએ કહ્યું, 'હવે હખ છે. જ્યાં સુધી હાથ પગ ચાલે ત્યાં સુધી કામ કરવું છે ને આવી રીતે ફરતો ધંધો કરુ તો તબીયતેય સારી રે..'

કાકા સાથે અમારી ઘણી વાતો થઈ પણ ક્યાંય જીવન પ્રત્યે હતાશા નહોતી ના કોઈ થાક... 

કાકા અનેકોને પ્રેરણા આપે એવા... તેમને નતમસ્તક પ્રણામ..

આદરણીય ઈન્દ્ર મોદીનો આભાર તેઓ જીવણ કાકા ની ભાવના સમજ્યા ને એમને મદદ કરી. VSSM તરીકે અમે નિમિત્ત બન્યા એનો રાજીપો...

When we talk about successful women, the question arises as to why we don’t mention thousands of women like Daniben.

When sisters began to try their hands at driving four-wheelers, everyone was surprised to hear that a sister drives a car. But women like Daniben pedal fiercely with bare feet and return from the three sectors of Gandhinagar having sold more vegetables than Ramabhai at home. This serves as inspiration for many unsuccessful individuals.

Managing all the household chores, she brings vegetables from the market and sells them in various societies across the three sectors. When she returns home, she checks with the boys whether they’ve done their homework; if they say no, Daniben makes them sit down to study.

Countless Danibens across the country and the world are true examples of women’s empowerment. Unfortunately, when discussions about women’s empowerment occur, women like Daniben are often not present. Or if they are present, they are overshadowed by educated and well-groomed women who discuss how women like Daniben lag behind and how to empower them.

Isn’t it interesting?

In my view, a sister who milks ten cows or a Daniben who runs a vegetable or dairy business should also understand what true women’s empowerment means.

Daniben took a loan from us to expand her business, and when I visited her in Gandhinagar, seeing her skillfully pedal and load her vegetables was truly heartwarming. It made my heart swell with joy.

Daniben, you are truly a goddess. Salutations to you!

સફળ સ્ત્રીઓની વાત જ્યારે થાય ત્યારે દાણીબેન જેવી હજારો સ્ત્રીઓની વાત કેમ નહીં થતી હોય એ પ્રશ્ન સતત થાય.

ફોર વ્હીલર પર હાથ અજમાવવાનું બહેનોએ શરૃ કર્યું ત્યારે બહેન ગાડી ચલાવે છે એ વાતની સૌને ભારે નવાઈ લાગતી. પણ દાણીબહેન જેવી બહેનો ઉઘાડા પગે પણ જબ્બર રીતે પેડલ ચલાવે ને ગાંધીનગરના ત્રણ સેક્ટરમાં ફરીને ઘરવાળા રમણભાઈ કરતા વધારે શાકભાજી વેચી આવે એની વાત તો અનેક નિષ્ફળ વ્યક્તિઓને પ્રેરણા આપનારી...

ઘરનું તમામ કામકાજ પતાવી માર્કેટમાંથી શાકભાજી લાવી ત્રણેક સેક્ટરની કેટલીયે સોસાયટીમાં ફરીને એ વેચી આવે ને પાછા ઘરે આવીને નિરીક્ષર દાણીબેન એય છોકરાઓ લેશન બેશન કર્યું કે નઈ એવું પુછી લે ને છોકરા ના પાડે તો દાણી બેન પાછા એમને ભણવાય બેસાડે...

દેશની - દુનિયાની અસંખ્ય દાણીબેન સ્ત્રી સશક્તિકરણનું સાચુ ઉ.દા. પણ કમનસીબે જ્યાં સ્ત્રી સશક્તિકરણની વાતો થાય ત્યાં દાણીબેન જેવી બહેનો હાજર નથી હોતી. અથવા હાજર હોય તો ભણેલી ગણેલી લાલી લિપસ્ટિક થી સજ્જ બહેનો દાણીબેન જેવી બહેનો અન્ય સ્ત્રીઓ કરતા કેવી રીતે પાછળ છે. એમનું સશક્તિકરણ કેમ કરવું એની ચર્ચા કરે...

મજાનું છે નહીં?

મારા ખ્યાલથી દસ ગાય ભેંસો દોહીને એનું દૂધ ભરાવનાર બહેન કે દાણીબહેન જેવી શકભાજી કે પાલાબૈણીનો વેપાર કરનાર બહેન પાસે પણ ક્યારેક સાચુ સ્ત્રી સશક્તિકરણ કોને કહેવાય એ સમજવું જોઈએ..

આ દાણીબેને ધંધો વધારવા અમારી પાસેથી લોન લીધેલી એટલે ગાંધીનગરના એમના છાપરે એમને મળવા ગઈ ને એમણે જે રીતે પેડલ ચલાવી શાકભાજી લેવી હોયતોની બૂમ પાડી સાંભળીને આપણું દિલ તો ભઈ'સાબ ગાર્ડન ગાર્ડન થઈ ગયું..

"I needed to earn for myself. It's not that my husband doesn't earn; he does, but I wanted to stand on my own feet."

Typically, when a girl is studying, she aims to earn and become independent, but in many cases, after marriage, her aspirations take a back seat. Family members may say that she shouldn't work, and often, the girl accepts that.

However, Dakshaben says, "If we earn, then no matter what situation arises in the future, we can face it." Although she didn’t specify any particular situation, it was clear from her perspective as a woman.

We see many educated women who, after marriage, do not insist on being independent and, after some time, find themselves in situations where they struggle to figure out how to start anew.

That’s why every woman should earn, says Dakshaben from Jetpur in Mahisagar. Her husband drives a car. Dakshaben isn’t highly educated, but she knows how to rear livestock. She took a loan from VSSM-KRSF and bought cows. Currently, she earns around ten thousand a month by selling milk at the dairy.

She expresses, "I want to manage the dairy so that I can earn more and provide a good education for my children."

It’s heartening to see women progressing with the determination to live with dignity.

We are very grateful for the significant support from KRSF in this effort. We have provided loans to 8,500 people, and 50 percent of those loans went to women. We hope to see this number increase.

'મારા માટે કમાવવું જરૃરી હતું. એવું નથી કે પતિ નથી કમાતા એ કમાય પણ મારે મારા પગ પર ઊભા રહેવું હતું.'

સામાન્ય રીતે છોકરી ભણતી હોય ત્યારે એના સમણાં કમાવવાના એટલે કે પગભર થવાના હોય પણ ઘણા કિસ્સામાં લગ્ન પછી એના એ સમણાં પર પાણી ફરી વળે. ઘરવાળા આપણે નોકરી નથી કરવાની એવું કહી દે ને છોકરી એ વાત સ્વીકારી લે..

પણ દક્ષાબહેન કહે, 'આપણે કમાતા હોઈએ તો  ભવિષ્યમાં કોઈ પણ સ્થિતિ આપણી સામે આવે તો આપણે એનો સામાનો કરી શકીએ.' એમણે કઈ પરિસ્થિતિ એની ચોખવટ ન કરી પણ એક સ્ત્રી હોવાના નાતે એ સમજી શકાય એવું હતું.

અનેક ભણેલી ગણેલી સ્ત્રીઓને આપણે જોઈ છે જેમણે લગ્ન પછી પગભર થવા સાસરીયા સામે જીદ નથી કરી અને એક સમય પછી પગભર થવું પડે એવી સ્થિતિ નિર્માણ પામી ત્યારે એમને ક્યાંથી શરૃ કરવું તે સમજાતું નહોતું..

એટલે જ દરેક સ્ત્રીએ કમાવવું જોઈએ એવું મહિસાગરના જેતપુરના દક્ષાબહેન કહે. એમના પતિ ગાડી ચલાવે. દક્ષાબેન ઝાઝુ ભણ્યા નથી. પણ પશુપાલન એમને આવડે. એમણે VSSM- KRSF માંથી લોન લીધી ને ગાયો ખરીદી. હાલ ડેરીમાં દૂધ ભરાવી મહિને દસેક હજાર એ કમાઈ લે છે.

એ કે છે, 'મારે તબેલો કરવો છે. જેથી વધારે આવક થાય તો મારા બાળકોને સારુ ભણાવી શકુ..'

સ્વામનપૂર્વક જીવવાની જીદ સાથે બહેનોને આગળ વધતી જોઈને રાજી થવાય.

KRSF આ કાર્યમાં ખુબ મોટો સહયોગ કરે એમનો ઘણો આભાર... અમે 8500 લોકોને લોન આપી એમાંથી 50 ટકા લોન બહેનોને આપી. આ આંકડો વધે તેમ ઈચ્છીએ...

Suresh from the fulvadi community said, "I didn’t want to be a laborer in the fields, nor did I want to work as a laborer for all twelve months. If you give me a loan, I can get a rickshaw."

"Do you want to drive a rickshaw?"

"Well, yes."

Suresh from the fulvadi community mentioned this. In Kakar, BanasKantha, there are about 300 households of flower sellers. This community has traditionally performed snake dances, but that practice has now ceased. The entire community has turned to agricultural labor, but consistent work in farming is not available for twelve months.

When labor is not available, these families move around the villages asking for grains. They say they do not refuse when asked. The elders demand and receive assistance, but some from the new generation find begging distasteful. Suresh is somewhat educated but not extensively. He and others like him wish to work hard to earn a living but lack education, making it difficult to find other opportunities.

Suresh was the first to discuss taking a loan within the community. We provided him with 30,000 rupees, which he used to buy an old rickshaw. He paid back the installments regularly. Later, he talked about acquiring a new rickshaw. We provided a substantial amount for this. For instance, he needed to secure it and we did not fear the money being misused within the flower seller community. Hence, we gave him two lakh rupees.

Suresh now runs his business well with the new rickshaw. He pays a monthly installment of 17,500 rupees. Apart from the amount we provided, he has also taken a small amount from other sources. Suresh says, "I never thought I would be able to pay such a high installment. Now I have the ability to pay 17,500 rupees monthly."

We have provided loans to more than 200 families like Suresh and our worker Ishwarbhai is overseeing the management of these loans. It is an honor to work with dedicated workers like him.

For families like Suresh's, we run the Self-Reliance Program. The Dr. K. R. Shroff Foundation and VSSM together have provided loans to over 8,200 families to start their own independent businesses like Suresh.

Our KRSF founder Pratulbhai Shroff's dream is to enable another 2,500 families to start independent businesses this year. With visionary leaders like him, our team is motivated and we will achieve this goal.

ફુલવાદીઓ સ્વતંત્ર ધંધો કરતા થયા...

'માર જમોના પરમોણે હેડવું હ્. મોગવાનું મન પસંદ નહીં અન ખેતીમોં બારે મહિના મજૂરી હેડ નહીં. મન તમે લોન આલો તો માર રીક્ષા લાબ્બી હ્.'

'રીક્ષા ચલાવવાનું ફાવે?'

'એ તો હીખી જયે'

ફુલવાદી સમુદાયના સુરેશે આ કહ્યું.  બનાસકાંઠાના કાકરમાં એમના 300 ઘર. સાપના ખેલ બતાવવાનું આ સમુદાયની પેઢીઓએ કર્યુંં. પણ એ બધુ હવે બંધ થયું. ખેત મજૂરી તરફ આખો સમાજ વળ્યો પણ આપણે ત્યાં ખેતીમાં બારે મહિના મજૂરી ન મળે.

મજૂરી ન મળે ત્યારે ગામોમાં દાણા માંગવા આ પરિવારો ફરે. એ કહે, માંગવામાં અમને મણા નહીં. 

વડિલો હક કરી માંગી લે. પણ નવી પેઢીમાંથી કેટલાકને માંગવું અરુચીકર લાગે. સુરેશ થોડું ભણ્યો પણ ખરો. એ અને એના જેવા યુવાનો મહેનત કરીને રોટલો રળવા ઈચ્છે પણ ભણ્યા નહીં એટલે બીજુ કશું ફાવે નહીં.

લોન લેવાની વાત સુરેશે આખા સમાજમાં પહેલીવાર કરી. અમે 30,000 આપ્યા એમાંથી એ જુની રીક્ષા લાવ્યો. હપ્તા પણ  નિયમીત ભર્યા. એ પછી એણે નવી રીક્ષા લેવાની વાત કરી. અમે એ માટે મોટી રકમ આપી. ઉ.દા. બેસાડવાનું હતું અને ફુલવાદી સમુદાયમાં પૈસા ખોટા થવાનો અમને ભય નહીં. માટે બે લાખ આપ્યા. 

નવી રીક્ષામાં સુરેશ સરસ ધંધો કરે. મહિને 17,500નો હપ્તો ભરે છે. અમારી સિવાય નાનકડી રકમ એણે અન્ય જગ્યાએથી પણ લીધી.

સુરેશ કહે, '17500નો હપ્તો ભરી શકુ એવી ક્ષમતા થઈ. મે ક્યારેય વિચાર્યું નહોતું કે આટલા કમાઈશ..'

સુરેશ જેવા 200 થી વધારે પરિવારોને લોન આપી તેની દેખરેખનું કામ અમારા કાર્યકર ઈશ્વરભાઈ બરાબર કરે. તેમના જેવા સંનિષ્ઠ કાર્યકર સાથે હોવાનું ગૌરવ.

સુરેશ જેવા પરિવારો માટે જ અમે સ્વાવલંબન કાર્યક્રમ ચલાવીએ. ડો.કે.આર.શ્રોફ ફાઉન્ડેશન અને VSSM એ સાથે મળીને 8200 ઉપરાંત પરિવારોને સુરેશની જેમ સ્વતંત્ર ધંધો કરવા લોન આપી.

અમારા KRSF ના સ્થાપક પ્રતુલભાઈ શ્રોફનું સ્વપ્ન આ વર્ષે બીજા 2500 પરિવારોને સ્વતંત્ર ધંધો કરતા કરવાનું..

એમના જેવા સ્વપ્ન દૃષ્ટા સાથે હોય પછી ટીમે દોડવાનું છે ને એ અમે કરીશું...

 "I want to become a Collector," said little Ananya. She doesn’t fully understand what a Collector is, but her father, Harshadbhai, has planted this dream in her.

When asked why he wants her to become a Collector, Harshadbhai, our borrower, replied, "I want to be an ideal father for my daughter. I want her to be able to say with pride that her father worked hard for her."

Harshadbhai is not very educated. He works in a private company, but his income from the job is not enough. So, he decided to open a small shop in front of his house. He had faith that his wife, Ramilaben, would manage the shop. But they didn’t have the money to stock the shop.

They live in Dabhan, Kheda. Our worker, Rajnibhai, also lives in Dabhan. Harshadbhai discussed his business plans with Rajnibhai, who knew about his lack of capital. Eventually, Rajnibhai recommended that they seek financial assistance from VSSM, KRSF. We provided them with a loan of ₹50,000, which they used to set up a nice shop.

Ramilaben manages the shop, and their income has improved significantly. Ramilaben says, "When both of us earn, it makes a difference."

Through VSSM, KRSF, and Vimukta Foundation, we have provided loans to over 8,000 families, helping them start their own businesses. We wish for Harshadbhai and Ramilaben to be happy and successful.

'મારે કલેક્ટર થવું છે.'

નાનકડી અનન્યાયે આ કહ્યું.. કલેક્ટર એટલે કોણ એવી એને ઝાઝી ખબર ન પડે પણ એના પપ્પાએ એનામાં આ સ્વપ્ન રોપ્યું.

કલેક્ટર કેમ બનાવવી છે? એના જવાબમાં અનન્યાના પપ્પા એટલે કે અમારા લોનધારક હર્ષદભાઈએ કહ્યું, 'મારે મારી દીકરી માટે આદર્શ પિતા બનવું છે. મોટી થઈને એ ગર્વ સાથે કહી શકે કે મારા પિતાએ મારા માટે ખુબ મહેનત કરી..'

હર્ષદભાઈ ભણ્યા ઓછુ. ખાનગી કંપનીમાં નોકરી કરે પણ નોકરીની આવકમાં પુરુ ન થાય. એમણે ઘર આગળ નાનકડી દુકાન નાખવાનું નક્કી કર્યું. દુકાન સંભાળવાનું એમના પત્ની રમીલાબેન કરી લેશે એવો વિશ્વાસ. પણ દુકાનમાં સામાન લાવવા પૈસા નહીં. 

ખેડાના ડભાણમાં એ રહે. અમારા કાર્યકર રજનીભાઈ પણ ડભાણમાં રહે. રજનીભાઈ સાથે ધંધો કરવાની વાતો પણ થાય. મૂડી નથી એ રજનીભાઈ જાણે. આખરે રજનીભાઈએ જ  VSSM, KRSFમાંથી તમને પૈસા આપવાની ભલામણ કરી. અમે એમને લોન પેટે 50,000 આપ્યા. જેમાંથી એમણે સરસ દુકાન કરી.. 

રમીલાબેન દુકાન સંભાળે. આવક પણ સારી થઈ રહી છે.. રમીલાબેન કહે, 'બે જણા કમાય તો ફરક તો પડે જ..'

VSSM, KRSF અને વિમુક્ત ફાઉન્ડેશન થકી 8000 થી વધારે પરિવારોને લોન આપી એમને સ્વતંત્ર ધંધો કરતા કર્યા છે...
