VSSM’s support helps nomadic families to earn a dignified living …

Ritaben is one of the many women entrepreneurs VSSM supports.

Rita!!

As a child Rita had always seen her parents sculpt Ganesha idols hence, celebrating Ganesh Chaturthi is a must for her. It is a festival ingrained in her being. Every time she would account for losses after the festival we would advise her to not get into the business of making Ganesha idols during the next season, she too would pay heed to our recommendation. However, the moment the community would start preparing for the festive season her heart would give in!! “We are Bawri, making idols of the deity is our ancestral occupation, it is difficult for me to give up!” Rita would confess.

“We know the environmental implications of POP idols but it is hard to make Ganesha idols with clay. Also, if we are unable to sell these idols it is hard to store them in our small homes. Hence, Plaster of Paris (POP) works better for us. Nonetheless, this year we decided to make only clay idols, this entire lot here is clay Ganesha. They turn out to be expensive, the returns are not much yet people haggle, with the profits are less. Tell me one thing Ben, do you all bargain when you all go and shop in those glitzy malls?? So why haggle with us? If you stop bargaining, we will not mark up their prices, we earn our bread from it, we too have to sell them, all we need is fair returns for all the hard work we pour in!”

“This year the corona has inflicted a blow on our businesses. We could not invest in the idol-making this year. But you (VSSM) supported so I am sure it will be fruitful. We are reeling through difficult times Lord Ganesha will bring better days!!”

We are grateful for the support our well-wishers provide, to allow us to be instrumental in enabling such families to earn a dignified living. The families we mention here are the Bawri community residing in Ahmedabad’s Ramdevnangar settlement and Ritaben is one of the many women entrepreneurs VSSM supports.

VSSM livelihood program helps prakash change his mindset...

Prakash, is wise beyond his age. He resides with his family at a Bawri community  settlement called Gulbai Tekra in Ahmedabad.

Champa and Prakash were at our  office today to pay the instalment for Rs. 30,000 interest free loan VSSM has provided him. The loan was used to start a retail venture of selling wrist watches.

Mittal Patel with Prakash Ba
“How is work, Prakash?” I inquired.

“Very good!” he replied hesitantly.
VSSM hostel girls jumped to the opportunity of buying
watches at their doorsteps

“We have never seen what is your business. We simply have to believe whatever you say!!” I joked  with this extremely shy chap. This brought a broad smile on his face.

The next he came back in the afternoon with his watch shop.

“Ben, this is my business!!”

“So has the loan benefited you in any way or you have just spend it away??”

Prakash shyly looked towards his wife and replied, “It has been a great help, Ben!! The money I earned supported her delivery, we bought gold jewellery worth Rs. 42,000!!” Obedient Champa moved her head covering to show  us the earrings she was wearing.

“What are your  dreams, Prakash? Where do you aim for the future?”

“I want to buy my own house!!’

“Where, in Gulbai Tekra?”

“No, not Gulbai Tekra. The culture there is not conducive. Children cannot grow well there. I want to raise my children into a fine human beings and achieving this in Gulbai Tekra looks difficult.”

Prakash Bawri's shop
Prakash is dreaming something that we have been dreaming for past couple of years. To enable the Bawri community integrate with other urban communities. It is crucial they move beyond  the orthodox and medieval mindsets of their community to progress well. This is something Prakash has realised.

Champa has been keeping a piggy bank at home, Prakash sells watches worth Rs. 1200 to 1500 every day.
Our Amiben has convinced her to buy monthly groceries and save the money with some back. Champa has agreed to make this shift.

We wish Champa and Prakash much  happiness and success in life.

Have a look at Prakash’s shop. Our  girls jumped to the opportunity of buying watches at their door step.

Also listen to Prakash in the attached video. You’ll  enjoy it.

Ravjibhai could set his business well with the help of VSSM

VSSM extends support to Ravjibhai
Ravjibhai Danabhai Rathod belongs to Chunaravad, Rajkot District of Gujarat. He has a son, daughter and his wife in his family. His son is handicapped. Ravjibhai was running auto and his wife was selling retail cutlery. She has very good understanding about business. She was known to local material supplier also but if she brought material on credit, she had to bear 10% of loss in prizes. They had no capital amount to invest so her husband used to run auto rickshaw. When he got the information from his community members, that VSSM provides interest free loans for business to his community, he contacted VSSM and asked for Rs. 50,000 loan. He went to the material supplier and brought more material on a wholesale rate. He sold the material on a wholesale rate keeping it 1 rupee lesser price than other sellers. His community members purchased material from him every week. He too set his purchasing schedule on a weekly basis. Their business settled and they started giving installment with it. Their hard work too paid. They have now Rs. 50,000 material in stock with them.

They express that they felt relief financially because they could get interest free loan. If someone comes telling Mittalben’s name I give them credit of Rs. 5000/-. This inspiration to give credits to someone for business has been received from Mittalben. Even the wholesalers call Kanubhai for giving him material on the prescribed market rates. His business is running well. He thanks VSSM for this change in his life.

VSSM feels grateful to the donors who extends the helping hand to VSSM and VSSM extends the same gesture to the Nomadic and De-Nomadic tribes to uplift their life. This could not have been possible for us to extend the helping hand to others.

Our motto of giving interest free loans to nomads make us feel successful whenever we see the people like Vishalbhai Bhavaya...

Mittal Patel at Vishalbhai Bhavaya's Mobile Shop
“Ben, one of our loan borrower has started a Mobile shop at Chotila at Surendranagar District. Let’s meet him.” Said Harshad and took me to the shop of Vishalbhai Bhavaya(Vaghela)’s shop. He is the worshipper of Mahakali Devi so his family gave the shop’s name “New Mahakali Mobile Shop”. Even poor can buy the mobiles from his shop because he has kept the collection of good quality mobiles with cheaper prize in his shop.

He expressed happiness to see us and offered tea or cold drink.

Vishalbhai Bhavaya explained about the products he is
selling in his shop.
We asked, “first tell us, how your business is going on? Rest later on…”

Vishalbhai said, “very good now.” I took that loan of Rs. 30,000, which I used for my business of selling cloths.  I used to move around the villages and sell some cloths. That was not much profitable business. I had little bit skill about mobile repairing. I could not re-pay the loan I took so I was feeling shy to ask for another loan but Harshadbhai said, “We see your hard work and that inspires us to give you another loan because you have an attitude to re-pay it. Please don’t worry.”
That gave me courage to ask for another loan of Rs. 50,000/-. Thanks to VSSM that my loan was approved and I could start this new business of Mobile phones.
We too expressed happiness for his progress.
Vishalbhai explained about the products he is selling in his shop.

I asked, “ Bhavai Artists like to play Bhavai, don’t you want to play Bhavai?”
Vishalbhai replied, “I like to play Bhavai too much but others are not interested and there is no earning in doing that nowadays. May play in future if everything is ok.”

He took us to one Kathiyavadi hotel and hosted us the excellent food.
If our request to government to open the Bhavai School for Bhavai Artist, becomes successful, there is no doubt about getting the learned Bhavai Artists for it.
Our motto of giving interest free loans make us feel successful whenever we see the people like Vishalbhai. Vishalbhai is happy mentally but we wish his wishes to earn more and have worldly comforts may get fulfilled by his hard work.

VSSM is grateful to all those who are the co-traveller in the journey of VSSM

Inculcating the habit of regular savings amongst the nomadic communities….

Jivabhai Marwadi Devipujak with his wife
“Ben, I have understood the importance regular savings only after the organization (VSSM) provided me the financial assistance and compelled me to begin saving on regular basis. Today I have jewelry worth Rs. 17,000 and Rs. 15,000 in cash,” said a cheerful Jivabhai.

Jivabhai Marwadi Devipujak  availed a loan of Rs. 10,000 from VSSM to begin a business of trading seasonal products. A scrape collector, Jivabhai followed a daily routine of first collecting the scrape and then selling it to the wholesale scrape dealer. But, this method did not allow him to negotiate better  selling price. However, once when he accumulated the scrape and sold it in bulk he could fetch better price. After this learning he took a bigger loan of Rs. 40,000 from VSSM.

VSSM’s Kanubhai thought him how conduct his business smartly and made sure he saved from the profits he made. Jivabhai never liked going to a bank but the fear of Kanubhai’s scolding made him visit the bank to deposit part of his profits. The figure has now reached Rs. 15,000. For nomadic families, even such a small amount is huge and the joy it brings in the lives of these individuals is incomparable.

The poor of our country look up to the government for support and hopes that the support will help them tackle poverty. It is not an unreasonable expectation, communities reeling under abject poverty require external support to break free from the clutches of poverty. But, the confidence people like Jivabhai gain after becoming successful in business makes them aspire to do away with government support.

“It will be good if I can get government support but the pace at which my business is going these days makes me believe that in next five years I will buy a house of my own.” In the past one and half years Jivabhai has managed to save the above-mentioned amount and send his children to a decent private school aswell.

We feel humbled when VSSM becomes instrumental in bringing such confidence in the lives of people like Jivabhai. Thank you all for helping us support thousands of individuals like Jivabhai.

VSSM is trying to make co-operative society of broom-makers vadi...

Meeting under progress with vadi community
We recently had a meeting with the Vadi families engaged in making broom sticks. They stay in dangaas located around Ahmedabad. It is their skill of making brooms that helps them sustain their families since the manual labor jobs aren’t paying enough. These families face issues very similar to the other nomadic communities, their names do not feature in any BPL list, the villagers are against their permanent settlement etc.. etc..

Also, they do not have access to any support to initiate into other ventures or expand their current business. The meeting was to understand their issues, how can they come together as a cooperative to improve their bargaining capacity!! They aren’t convinced of forming a cooperative but we are hopeful…

VSSM organsies cheque distribution for its interest free loan program...

President of Taluka Panchayat, Sarpanch of Diyodar Gram
Panchayat and Mittal Patel handed over the cheque to
one of the recipients
A couple of years back VSSM launched ‘Swavlamban’ initiative to assist individuals and families from nomadic communities earn a dignified living by providing them interest free loans to begin their own business ventures or to support business expansion. The program has been a great success with loans to more than a 1000 individuals.

On February 5th 2017, we had organized a program at Diyodar to give away cheques amounting to Rs.11,48,000 to 47 individuals willing to begin their own business venture. The program was first of its kind as until now VSSM has never organized such event to distribute cheques. However, the residents of Banaskantha who know VSSM’s efforts and are associated with the organization in some way felt that a public program like this will help spread VSSM’s message and make the society aware of our efforts. The program was attended by President of Taluka Panchyat, Sarpanch of Diyodar Gram Panchayat and large number of well-wishers.

Sardarbhai Vansfoda, one of the recipients
of the cheque at the program
The events like these also reflect the deep association the team members have with the communities as well are the local society. The Sarpanch of Diyodar was so pleased with the way VSSM’s Naran relates to the communities he works for,  that he went on to call Naran a true Sarpanch of Diyodar!! The success of Sawavlamban program has  also been  possible due to the hard work and utmost care (to identify the real needy) taken by Mahesh, Shardaben, Ishwar and the entire team of Banaskantha who juggle their responsibilities well. VSSM is fortunate to have such dedicated team members.

The Swavlamban program would be impossible without the unflinching support of well-wishers and donors. It is this continuous support that permits VSSM to widen its scope and reach the poorest of the poor nomadic families.

Various nomadic communities attended
'Swavlamban Progem' by VSSM at Diyodar village.

VSSM help a few more business ventures amongst the nomadic communities...

Mukeshbhai Kangsiya selling imitation jewellery &
Cosmetic products
Mukeshbhai Kangasiya  is a resident of Maninagar area of Bhachau town. VSSM helped him secure his Voter ID card and a job. However, being uneducated meant he was assigned menial labour and such unskilled jobs not fetch good remuneration at the end of the day. The money earned from the job was little while the family was large hence it was difficult to sustain them on such meagre income.

As most of the members of the Kangasiya community do Mukeshbhai’s family was also engaged with selling of imitation jewellery and cosmetic products,  but since Mukeshbhai did not have sufficient cash on hand he could not commence such business. It was VSSM’s Ishwarbahi who recommended Mukeshbhai to VSSM for a Rs. 10,000 loan under its Swavlamban program. The loan served as seed capital to help him initiate into the business of selling imitation jewellery, cosmetics and gift articles. Mukeshbhai has also bought a hand cart and now functions from Bhachau’s main market. The income is enough to help him sustain his family, pay the monthly instalment of Rs. 1000 and make a monthly saving of  Rs. 500.

Dharmabhai Devipujak with his new venture
Similarly, Dharmabhai Devipujak also intended to begin his venture of selling imitation jewellery as his similar initiative on much smaller scale wasn’t rewarding at all. The struggle for him was to mobilise resources to begin the business. In the past VSSM had helped him acquire identity documents. He got in touch with our team member  Ishwarbhai and proposed for a loan of Rs. 10,000 under the Swavlamban program. The money lent by VSSM has helped him procure enough material and begin selling it in Bhacahu bazar as well as neighbouring villages. Dharmabhai’s wife helps him with sales as well. The result has been increase in sale and profits.

The small loans by VSSM are triggering small yet impactful changes in the lives of these and many such  families supported by VSSM. It is providing the family food security and ability to save little that can eventually become their emergency fund.

We are grateful to all those who have played vital role in supporting the Swavlamban initiative….

The recently published story in Gujarat Guardian reflects the contradiction to our popular belief that nomads are corrupt, they are thieves and dacoits….

Recently Published Story in Gujarat Guardian...
Neniben is a very dignified woman. Widowed at the  young age of 25 she was left with the responsibility of single handedly raising her 3 children. “When Jago (her husband) left, I inherited the responsibility of our  3 kids and no roof to shelter the family!!” said Neniben on her financial condition then. Today Neniben has built a house of her own and married off her children well. But somewhere during this time she went through lot of ups and downs.. moments when she felt like ending her life as  she incurred losses in her business. ‘I cannot run away from the people who have lent me money. If I do not repay the money I owe them my conscience will punish me, I will be termed guilty by the one who is watching us from above!! Help me get out of this debt!!” So how does Neniben find her way out??

The recently published story in Gujarat Guardian reflects the contradiction to our popular belief that nomads are corrupt, they are thieves and dacoits….

Nomadic Nat and Bajaniya community benefited to start their own venture with help of VSSM’s interest free loan, under livelihood programme.

Jivabhai with his own auto rickshaw
Champaneriya Jivabhai, resident of Dist. Surendranagar, with limited opportunities & handful resources he has to meet the daily requirements. Income was average while running expense of his hired auto rickshaw was demanding huge portion of whatever he earns, daily rent of Rs.250/-, fuel and other maintenance charges was costing 500/- per day.
Jivabhai had positive prospects to look towards these challenging conditions, he was desirous to make changes in his life by owing an auto rickshaw. But with limited earnings and marginal savings it seems impossible. Eventually he happened to meet our karyakar Harshad.

Harshad is the young and energetic field worker of VSSM. He has given hopes to many young entrepreneurs from these communities.

Harshad explained Jivabhai the benefits of Interest Free loan program especially run for Nomadic communities by VSSM. Jivabhai is desirous and dedicated to take the responsibilities of owing his own auto rickshaw & apparently returning the loan amount within the approved period. VSSM sanctioned a loan amount of Rs.40,000/-.  Jivabhai bought a used auto rickshaw, for 60,000/-, apart from loan amount he received help for balance 20,000/-from friends and family.

Earlier he used to pay 6000/- as monthly rent to the owner of auto rickshaw, today he repays his loan amount to VSSM with fixed 4000/- EMI. Eventually he is benefitted by owning his own auto rickshaw & gradually savings has also increased.

VSSM along with bajaniya community is proud of Jivabhai, he has set an best example of effective management with optimum utilization of handful or marginal resources.

He has given hopes to many young entrepreneurs from these communities.

Families of Nomadic Kangasiya community attained self-reliant under the guidance of VSSM.

Members of these families staying under one roof and
happily doing their buisness under the guidance of VSSM
In the List of Socially and Educationally Backward Classes declared by Gujarat State, out of the 146 communities, Kangsiya is one of them. This community is traditional engaged in wooden & horn made artistic items usually used in artificial jewellery making. These handmade crafts and carving done on these items are durable and long lasting.

Today the demand and supply for these items, both are less, as due to machine made and good finished products available at lesser prices. Families belonging to these communities started selling cosmetic products and artificial jewelleries to support their livings. But to start this venture they required some working capital on hand, buying in bulk from town side market would cost more & initial borrowing at heavy interest drags them into debt trap.

Members of these families staying under one roof and happily doing their business under the guidance of VSSM.

These families today neither have alternate skills or education or funds to venture into other occupations. If one has to work towards the rehabilitation the occupations of these nomadic communities, it is crucial to mentor and guide them towards adapting alternate livelihoods. The best solution was to rebuilding the livelihoods by lending them some funds to start their own ventures.

Five families of this community were funded interest free loan of Rs. 20000/- each during the festival season. Their dedication & understanding helped them to earn more profits and repay the loan timely. Considering their passion and commitments VSSM again funded them with 30,000/- loan to each family. During the monsoon season the condition of their home was dripping day by day they again approached VSSM for repairs of their houses, we granted them 30,000/- interest free loan to rebuild and renovate their house.

Today 85 members of 10 families are staying in this house and all these individuals are making tremendous efforts to make their businesses and lives successful. Under the guidance of VSSM these families have benefited with their independent earnings their own home & importantly relive from debt trap.

Bachubhai Bajaniya with his newly purchased
octopad - performing at a gathering...
Music is passion; musical instruments are gadgets for Bachubhai Nayak Bajaniya living in village Mafatiyapara, Dist. Surendranagar. Since from childhood Bachubhai played his hands on different musical tools, sometimes in community (Bajaniya) gathering sometimes in funfairs & sometimes in family get together. Professional classes are not at easy access for kids staying in remote villages like mafatiyapara, going to city side to attend the classes demands money, economical condition of bachubhai’s family was not sound enough to support his hobby.

His zest for playing an octopad has cultivated by now from hobby to dream, he started playing the instrument along with his musical troop. In social gathering audience applauded his performance. People started recognizing his music, he started getting invites for solo performance.

To own an octapad was not just a dream but a requirement to sustain in this career. Hiring the instrument for each show would cost him a rent of Rs.300-400 and during festival & marriage seasons this rent were at highest. Sometimes he has to let go the show as he would not afford the rent. Non availability of instrument also led to no shows or performance.

These communities were aware of VSSM’s different initiatives for Livelihood. Bachubhai approached Harshad our Karyakar, who is actively working in this village & keen for betterment of Bajaniya community. Bachubhai had some limited savings while the shortfall was huge. Considering his profound desire to take this as his career & oversee the overall growth of this community as this will be benefitted on long run to the society, we sanctioned a loan of Rs.30,000/- under VSSM’s Interest free loan program.

Bachubhai contributed Rs.10,000/- from his savings & bought an used octapad for Rs.40,000/-. Today he is repaying the loan in regular EMI’s, we appreciate his dedication & devotion towards his passion for music and also towards his responsibility to repay the loan amount.

Bachubhai has opened new doors of career and hopes of earnings for this community while VSSM plays an important role to initiate this changing phase of Bajaniya community.

Navghanbhai Kishanbhai Bajaniya, resident of village Laxmipara, Dist. Surendranagar. With limited opportunities & handful resources this family has to meet the daily requirements. Both father and son duo run auto rickshaw on the roads of Laxmipara in shift duties. Income was average while running expense for this vehicle was demanding huge portion of whatever they earn, daily rent of Rs.250/-, fuel and other maintenance charges was costing 500/- per day.

Navghanbhai with his auto rickshaw
An emerging situation aroused when his father got badly addicted to alcohol and could not drive the vehicle. Apparently his earnings stopped and this family was in debt ridden situation.
Navghanbhai is youngest in the family, his prospects to look towards these challenging conditions changes when he meets our Karyakarta, Harshad. Harshad is the young and dynamic field worker of VSSM. He has given hopes to many young entrepreneurs from these communities.

Harshad explained Navghanbhai the benefits of Interest Free loan program especially run for Nomadic communities by VSSM. Navghanbhai is desirous and dedicated to take the responsibilities of owing his own auto rickshaw & apparently returning the loan amount within the approved period. VSSM sanctioned a loan amount of Rs.30,000/-. Navghanbhai bought a used auto rickshaw, and decided to ferry in shifts, his brother also joined him.  Now this vehicle is fully operative, shift duties are set, early morning 4 to 8:30 his father drives, morning 9 to evening 8 Navghanbhai drives & then after till next day morning his brother drives.

His father has not completely quit his habit of drinking alcohol but substantially reduced, he appreciate his sons efforts and dedications and he too has joined them and contribute his share of earnings to their family.

VSSM along with bajaniya community is proud of Navghanbhai, he has set an best example of effective management with optimum utilization of handful or marginal resources.

Similarly Nathabhai Gadaliya sets a best example of age is not barrier if you are dedicated and devoted to deploy your best available resources along with your inherent skills.
Nathabhai’s son owns a small shop of iron made tools generally used as kitchen accessories in the village, buying the material from town side requires adequate working capital, with marginal investments & savings he was unable to procure the items in bulk quantity. Hence compelled to buy at high rates.

Nathabhai Gadaliya selling iron made tools and kitchen
accessories
Earnings from the existing setup was average to meet all basic requirements but not sufficient enough to led a comfortable life. Nathabhai was aware of our livelihood program, he has several times attended the community meetings and has witnessed the growth of other community people who has been benefited with VSSM’s interest free loan program.

He approached for help, our field executive Ishwar was aware of Nathabhai’s zeal to expand his current arrangements. With Rs.30,000/- interest free loan he started buying the raw material in bulk quantity from Rajkot & then after molding and making hand hammers and sledgehammers, a number and variety of chisels, punches and drifts and a selection of tongs with big or jaws of various shapes.
He now started going to nearby village to sell the tools, his wife also willingly joins him and they earns good margin. They also have good setup to sell the tools in Bhachau. Nathabhai gradually returns his loan amount to VSSM in small instalments but in form of regular repayments.

Nathabhai is thankful to VSSM for transforming his life, his belief in us and our distinct programs has remarkably played an role in the lives of needy people.

VSSM helps nomadic communities to start their own vocations with our micro finance – interest free loan program, we are also considerable in the repayments, sometimes repaid at their convenience and availability of money, purpose is to make these poor nomadic people independent & self-reliant.

Families from nomadic communities begin independent businesses after availing loan from VSSM..

Vashrambhai Raval with his loading AutoRickshaw
Vashrambhai Raval is a resident of Banaskantha’s Kankrej. He earned his living through selling vegetables on a camel cart. It allowed him to move two-three villages through the day and sell the vegetables. The income was just enough to meet the household expenses. If the camel fell ill Vashrambhai had to remain home for the day. To escape from such uncertainties he felt the need of buying a lorry rickshaw but finding enough funds remained a challenge.

Since he was aware of the Swavlamban initiative by VSSM he contacted Naranbhai and requested for a loan of Rs. 30,000. On availing the loan he bought a second-hand lorry rickshaw and began selling potatoes, onions, bedsheets, blankets anything that earned him well. The rickshaw enables him to cover 5 villages in a day and the income is good as well.

Vashrambhai has 3 sons and hopes to provide good education to all his children.

Deepakbhai with his Octapad
Deepakbhai Bjanaiya hails from Jaaspur village of Karol block in Gandhinagar. Right from his early childhood Deepakbhai was found of playing musical instruments and with time decided to make a career out of it. He has trained himself in playing Octapad. Over the period he began receiving invitations to play Octapad at various musical gatherings. Deepakbhai needed funds to invest in an Octapad but until that could  that he performed on a hired instrument. But the rental for such instruments are so high that most of all that  Deepakbhai earned was spent on paying the rent. Deepakbhai has some amount  that he had saved over the period of time and required around Rs. 20,000 to buy a brand new Octapad. He applied to VSSM for a loan and from the amount sanctioned he bought a new Octapad. “There were times I had work but did not have the instrument cause someone else had rented it but now I have both, work and instrument.  At times I had to say no to the assignment because I did not have instrument. But now I need not have to worry about finding the instrument and work is easily flowing in and income is good as.” narrated Deepakbhai.

Anitaben with her hand cart
Similarly, Anitaben Bajaniya also approached VSSM with a request for a loan of Rs. 30,000. Anitaben is a resident of Guptanagar in Ahmedabad. Her family of 7 can barely survive on the sole income of her husband, so she decided to work as domestic help in the bunglows located in her neighbourhood. However though she did not prefer working as a household help, she desired to have a venture where she could be her own boss. Like her fellow community members she also wanted to begin her business of selling imitation jewellery, cosmetics etc. Since  saving money from a single income was not possible she did not have necessary capital to invest and  her desires could not take wings.

Anitaben met up with VSSM’s Ilaben with a request for loan. Once the loan was sanctioned she bought a hand-cart and the products to sell from a wholesale market. She began selling selling her products through a daily market near her home in Guptanagar. The income has been very good, along with paying the instalments regularly she is also began saving a small amount in Kalupur Bank.

The Savlamban program has enabled hundreds of such families improve their standard of living. VSSM is extremely thankful to all of you for being instrumental in bringing such change in the lives of these poor families.
