VSSM organsies cheque distribution for its interest free loan program...

 A couple of years back VSSM launched ‘Swavlamban’ initiative to assist individuals and families from nomadic communities earn a dignified living by providing them interest free loans to begin their own business ventures or to support business expansion. The program has been a great success with loans to more than a 1000 individuals.

On February 5th 2017, we had organized a program at Diyodar to give away cheques amounting to Rs.11,48,000 to 47 individuals willing to begin their own business venture. The program was first of its kind as until now VSSM has never organized such event to distribute cheques. However, the residents of Banaskantha who know VSSM’s efforts and are associated with the organization in some way felt that a public program like this will help spread VSSM’s message and make the society aware of our efforts. The program was attended by President of Taluka Panchyat, Sarpanch of Diyodar Gram Panchayat and large number of well-wishers.

The events like these also reflect the deep association the team members have with the communities as well are the local society. The Sarpanch of Diyodar was so pleased with the way VSSM’s Naran relates to the communities he works for,  that he went on to call Naran a true Sarpanch of Diyodar!! The success of Sawavlamban program has  also been  possible due to the hard work and utmost care (to identify the real needy) taken by Mahesh, Shardaben, Ishwar and the entire team of Banaskantha who juggle their responsibilities well. VSSM is fortunate to have such dedicated team members.

The Swavlamban program would be impossible without the unflinching support of well-wishers and donors. It is this continuous support that permits VSSM to widen its scope and reach the poorest of the poor nomadic families.

વિચરતી વિમુક્ત જાતિઓ સ્વમાનભેર રોજગારી મેળવી શકે તે માટે vssm દ્નારા સ્વંતંત્ર વ્યવસાય કરવા ઈચ્છતા વ્યક્તિઓને વગર વ્યાજની લોન આપવામાં આવે છે. સંસ્થાના માધ્યમથી અત્યાર સુધી હજાર ઉપરાંત લોકોને આ પ્રકારે લોન આપવામાં આવી છે.

તા.5 ફેબ્રઆરી 2017ના રોજ દિયોદર મુકામે બનાસકાંઠા જિલ્લામાં રહેતા અને જેમણે પોતાનો સ્વતંત્ર વ્યવસાય કરવાની ખેવના રાખી છે તેવા 47 વ્યક્તિઓને રૃપિયા 11,48,000ના ચેકનું વિતરણ કરવામાં આવ્યું.

આમ તો અત્યાર સુધી ચેકનું વિતરણ કોઈ કાર્યક્રમ કરીને કરવામાં આવતું નહોતું. પણ બનાસકાંઠાના સ્થાનિક લોકો કે જેઓ સંસ્થાના કામને જાણે અને મદદરૃપ પણ થાય છે તેમણે સંસ્થાના આ કાર્યની સુવાસ બહોળા સમાજ સુધી પહોંચે તે અર્થે કાર્યક્રમ કરવાની લાગણી વ્યક્ત કરી હતી. કાર્યક્રમમાં તાલુકા પંચાયતના પ્રમુખ, દિયોદર ગ્રામપંચાયતના સરપંચ તથા અન્ય હિતધારકો ઉપસ્થિત રહ્યા હતા.

vssmના કાર્યકરોની આ સમુદાયો પ્રત્યેની નિસ્બત આવા કાર્યક્રમોમાં ખાસ જોવા મળે. દિયોદરના કાર્યકર નારણનો આ સમુદાયો સાથેનો ઘરોબો જોઈને દિયોદરના સરપંચ શ્રીએ તો નારણને દિયોદરનો ખરો સરપંચ ગણાવ્યો. તો મહેશ, શારદાબહેન, ઈશ્વર વગેરે તો વિચરતી જાતિઓ સાથેના અન્ય કામોની સાથે લોનનું કામ પણ બખુબીથી નિભાવે. સંસ્થા પાસે આવા સરસ કાર્યકરો છે તેનો અમને સૌને આનંદ છે.

હજારો લોકોને મદદરૃપ થવાનું જેમના માધ્યમથી શક્ય બન્યું તેવા દાતાઓનો આ તબક્કે આભાર વ્યક્ત કરુ છું.
