Mittal Patel meets Mahendrabhai at his grocery Kiosk

Mahendrabhai lives in Kheda's Antroli village and runs a grocery kiosk in the same village. The income from his business is enough to meet his family's daily needs but does not offer the scope to create capital and expand the business.

Mahendrabhai had been looking at avenues to expand his business but lacked the capital to do so. The interest on loans from private money lenders is atrociously high; he feels it is an option one should never opt for. It is something he has learned from experience, and he is right.

Mahendrabhai contacted VSSM's Rajnibbhai and requested a loan to stock goods he otherwise could not.

We provided a loan of Rs. 30,000. "There is an obvious increase in the income and profit with the products I have stocked up using Rs. 30,000. The profit has doubled. I want to save all that money and start the cattle feed business." Mahendrabhai shared.

VSSM's Swavlamban initiative shares positive stories of hundreds of individuals like Mahendrabhai who have prospered even with a small loan of as less as Rs 10,000.

These interest-free loans have given them the strength to carry on.

The Swavlamban initiative supported 5500 individuals, and we hope for these numbers to keep growing. May it help them grow independent and happy.

મહેન્દ્રભાઈ #ખેડાના #આંતરોલીમાં રહે.. એમની કરિયાણી નાનકડી દુકાન.. એની આવકમાંથી ઘર ગુજારો થઈ જાય. પણ ધંધો મોટો ન થાય.. 

આમ પણ ધંધા માટે કહેવત છે ગોળ નાખીયે એટલું ગળ્યું થાય.. બસ મહેન્દ્રભાઈને પણ ધંધો મોટો કરવો હતો પણ પાસે મૂડી નહીં. વ્યાજવા લે તો એના વ્યાજમાં જ તૂટી જઈએ એવું એ કહે.. માણસ અનુભવે આ કહે ને એ વાત સાચી પણ ખરી.

અમારા કાર્યકર રજનીભાઈ સાથે એ સંપર્કમાં આવ્યા ને એમણે કરિયાણાની દુકાનમાં પોતે જે સામાન હજુ લાવીને નથી રાખી શકતા તે લાવવા લોન આપવા કહ્યું..અમે 30,000ની લોન આપી ને દુકાનમાં સામાન વધ્યો. 

મહેન્દ્રભાઈ કહે, "ત્રીસનો સામાન નાખ્યો તોય આવકમાં સીધો ફેર પડી ગયો. હાલ નફો વધ્યો છે. લગભગ ડબલ થયો. એ બધા પૈસા બચાવી મારે ખોળ પાપડીનો ધંધો કરવો છે."

માણસને નાનકડી મદદ સાથે હૂંફ મળે તો એના બાવળને બળ મળે બસ આવા અનેક કિસ્સાઓ અમે નીત જોઈએ છીએ..

અમારા સ્વાવલંબન કાર્યક્રમ અંતર્ગત લોન લેનાર વ્યક્તિની સંખ્યા 5500 ઉપર થઈ છે. બસ આ સંખ્યા વધતી રહે ને લોકો સ્વાવલંબી બની સુખી થાય એમ ઈચ્છીએ...
