Miteshbhai Chauhan and his family stay in Tatanagar locality of Bhachau in Kutchh. After completing his education till 12th grade he joined a private company for his first job, but did not like his job a lot. He too wanted to drive an auto rickshaw like his father. But buying a rickshaw required money, which he did not have. A second hand chakdo rickshaw costs around Rs. 80,000. The activities of VSSM in the region were known to Miteshbhai so he approached Ishwarbhai with a request of loan to buy a rickshaw. VSSM sanctioned a loan of Rs. 30,000 and Miteshbhai managed Rs. 50,000 with the help of his family, to buy an auto rickshaw. 

Miteshbhai is now a ‘school-rickshaw wala.’ He now ferries children to and from school. In spare time he uses his vehicle to ferry other passengers. His earnings have increased considerably. There is a continuous flow of income because of the nature of his job. 

"Until now I did not enjoy what I did to earn living, this is a work I love. I am glad I am contributing well to raise my family,” says a rather relaxed Miteshbhai.

vssmમાંથી વગર વ્યાજની લોન લઈને વિચરતા પરિવારો સ્વતંત્ર વ્યવસાય કરતા થયા છે..

કચ્છના ભચાઉના ટાટાનગરમાં મીતેશભાઇ ચૌહાણ પરિવાર સાથે રહે. ધો.૧૨ સુધી ભણ્યા પછી ભચાઉ સ્થિત કંપનીમાં નોકરી શરુ કરી પણ નોકરી ગમે નહિ. મિતેશભાઈના પિતા રીક્ષા ચલાવે. મીતેશભાઇનું મન પણ રીક્ષા ચલાવવાનું પણ નવી રીક્ષા ખરીદવાનાં પૈસા એમની પાસે નહિ. જૂનામાં છકડો રીક્ષા ખરીદવાનું મન પણ એ માટે રૂ.૮૦,૦૦૦ જોઈએ. 

ભચાઉમાં vssmની કામગીરીને વંચિત અને વિચરતી જાતિના પરિવારો જાણે. એટલે vssmના કાર્યકર ઈશ્વર પાસે મીતેશભાઇએ રીક્ષા માટે લોન આપવા વિનંતી કરી. ઈશ્વરે રૂ.૩૦,૦૦૦ની મર્યાદામાં વગર વ્યાજની લોન vssmમાંથી આપવા વિનંતી કરી. મીતેશભાઇ અને એમના પરિવારે બાકીના રૂ.૫૦,૦૦૦ની વ્યવસ્થા કરી અને રીક્ષા લાવ્યા. 

હાલમાં મીતેશભાઇ બાળકોને સ્કુલે લઇ જવાના અને લાવવાના ફીક્ષ ભાડા બાંધી દિધા છે. જેના કારણે એમને મહીને નક્કી કર્યા મુજબની ચોક્કસ રકમ આવકના રૂપમાં મળવા માંડી છે. સ્કૂલ સિવાયના સમયમાં એ ફેરા કરવાનું કામ કરે છે. આમ સારી એવી આવક ઉભી થઇ છે. 

vssmમાંથી મળેલી મદદ માટે મિતેશભાઈ આભાર વ્યક્ત કરતાં કહે છે, ‘અત્યાર સુધી હું એવું કામ કરતો જેમાં મને જરાય રસ નહોતો પણ હવે મને ગમતું કામ કરું છું અને ઘરમાં વધારે ઉપયોગી બનું છું’
