VSSM, with the support it receives from its well-wishing friends, has been constantly working for the upliftment of the poorest of the poor families of our country.

 Recently when we were in Surendranagar we especially met with Ashaben and Kiranbhai Devipujak. Kiranbhai is a vegetable vendor, the family lives in a small shanty. The couple had dreams of educating their children well and raising them in good surroundings. But that was not to be as it they could not afford the rentals the pucca houses demanded. 

 

Ashaben could venture into selling bed sheets, blankets but lacked funds. Kiranbhai knew VSSM’s Harshadbhai, he requested a loan from VSSM. The Rs. 30,000 loan we sanctioned helped Ashaben procure goods and set up her business. 

 

The family moved into a rented house, the children were also enrolled in a private school. All this was before the pandemic stuck. The prolonged lockdown slowed the economy, the couple had to spend their savings eventually, the financial difficulties required them to sell off their goods at whatever price they got.  

 

 Harshad proposed another loan for them, VSSM sanctioned Rs. 15000 that helped them save Rs. 10,000. With Diwali approaching, the couple requested another loan of Rs. 30,000 to help them build up their stock for the festive season. 

 

How could we refuse such a hard-working and determined couple? On their insistence, I decided to go and meet them at their home. “We have already made a profit of Rs. 9000,” said the delighted couple. “we need to save as much as we can for the construction of our house.” Kiranbhai shared. VSSM led efforts have been instrumental in the allotment of residential plots to this family. 

If we as a society can begin to see God in every poor, the world would be a better place.

ગાંધીજી કહેતા, કોઈ પણ કાર્ય કરતા પહેલાં એ કાર્યથી છેવાડે રહેનાર માણસને શું લાભ થશે તે વિચારવું ને પછી કાર્ય કરવું.. 

દરિદ્રનારાયણ સાથેના સેવા કાર્યો VSSM સાથે સંકળાયેલા આત્મીયજનો થકી સતત ચાલે.. 

હમણાં સુરેન્દ્રનગર જવાનું થયું ત્યારે આશાબહેન અને કિરણભાઈ દેવીપૂજકને ખાસ મળવાનું થયું. કિરણભાઈ શાકભાજી વેચે. છાપરાંમાં આ પરિવાર રહે. પણ બેઉની ઈચ્છા પોતાના બાળકો સરસ ભણે ને એમનો સારા વાતાવરણમાં ઉછેર થાય તેવી. પણ ઘર ભાડે લઈ શકાય તેવી આર્થિક ક્ષમતા નહીં.

આશાબહેન ચાદરો, ઓછાડ વેચવાનું કરી શકે પણ આ વેપાર કરવા પૈસા નહીં. અમારા કાર્યકર હર્ષદભાઈના સંપર્કમાં કિરણભાઈ ખરા. તે એમણે VSSMમાંથી લોન આપવા કહ્યું ને અમે 30,000 વગર વ્યાજે આપ્યા ને આશાબહેનનો ધંધો સરસ ગોઠવાયો. ઘર પણ ભાડે લઈ લીધું ને બાળકોને સારી નિશાળામાં ભણવા બેસાડ્યા. બધુ બરાબર ચાલતુ હતું ત્યાં કોરોના આવ્યો ને બચત ખતમ થઈ. પડેલો સામાન પણ જે મળે તે ભાવે કાઢવો પડ્યો. મૂળ ઘરમાં આર્થિક તંગી આવી માટે.

હર્ષદે વાત કરી અમે 15,000ની મદદ સામાન ખરીદવા કરી. જેનાથી એમને રાહત થઈ ને 10,000ની બચતેય થઈ. એ પછી એમણે બીજી 30,000ની લોન આપવા વિનંતી કરી. મૂળ ચાલીસ હજારનો સામાન લાવી શકાય ને સામે દિવાળી છે તો ધંધોય થશે તેવો તેમને વિશ્વાસ. 

કામ કરવાની ધગશ હોય તેને ના કેમ પડાય? અમે બીજી લોન આપી. 

આશાબહેન અને કિરણભાઈનો આગ્રહ હતો એટલે ખાસ તેમને મળવા તેમના ઘરે ગઈ. બેઉ રાજી હતા. 9000 નો નફો તો રળી લીધો બેન એવુ એમણે હરખાતા કહ્યું. તેમને VSSM ની મદદથી રહેવા પ્લોટ મળ્યો છે. બસ પ્લોટ પર સારુ ઘર બંધાય એ માટે બચતેય કરીશું એવું કિરણભાઈએ કહ્યું....

સમાજ આખો દરિદ્રનારાયણમાં ખરેખર ભગવાનને જોતો થઈ જાય તો સમાજમાં કોઈ તકવંચિત ન રહે તે નક્કી...

છેલ્લે બાપુ હંમેશાં ગાતા તે પ્રાર્થના... સબ કો સંમતિ દે ભગવાન...
