Jesangbhai Bajaniya lives in Sami’s Mandvi village. Jesangbhai makes his living selling artificial jewellery, cosmetics and likes. His life was spent in a small shanty that the family called home. It was always his dream to live in a house made with bricks and a roof that never leaks. The income from his business wasn’t enough to help him through his dream. Poor and deprived families never enjoy this privilege of savings or having cash on hand.

VSSM has been working in Mandvi village and Jesangbhai happened to meet team members Mohanbhai and Shankarbhai. He shared his desires and the difficulties in achieving them. He wished to expand his business, earn more , save more and build a house of his own. VSSM sanctioned an interest free loan of Rs. 10,000. He bought more goods with the capital. Gradually, his income increased and so did his ability to save money after paying the monthly instalments.

Now to build a proper house Jesangbhai needed funds, he was required to borrow it from private money lender. After borrowing a small amount he build a decent sized house. During this period he did miss few instalments but gradually things are back to normal.

“Ben, because of you I have realised my dream, we now live in a house and not a hut. Yes, I did miss a few instalments but that too is now on track. Today I have paid off this loan and god willing I will soon pay off the other loan too. It is because of the organisation that we are happier today. Thank you so much for all your help.” Jesangbhai wishes to educate his children well and break free from the crippling cycle of poverty. His wife also helps substantiate the family income by working as farm labour. Our prayers and best wishes are always with such honest and hardworking humans!!

જેસંગભાઈ વેરશીભાઈ બજાણીયા પાટણના સમી તાલુકાના માંડવીમાં વસવાટ કરે. ઝુપડામાં વર્ષોથી રહેતા હોવાથી ઘરનું સપનું તો તેમણે ક્યારનું ય સેવ્યું હતું પરંતુ કટલરીના ધંધામાં જે આવક થતી તે તો ઘરનું પુરૂ કરવામાં જ જતી રહેતી, આવામાં ઘર તો કેવી રીતે બનાવે પણ ધંધો વધારવાની ઈચ્છા તો ખરી પણ પાસે મૂડી નહીં. VSSMનું કામ માંડવીમાં ચાલતું જ હતું. તેમની મુલાકાત સંસ્થાના કાર્યકર મોહનભાઈ અને શંકરભાઈ સાથે થઇ. તેમણે પોતાની વ્યથાની વાત કરી. તેમનો ધંધો વિકસે તો તેઓ પોતાનું ઘર પાકુ બનાવી શકે. તેમને સંસ્થા તરફથી વગર વ્યાજની રૂપિયા ૧૦,૦૦૦ની લોન આપવામાં આવી. જેનો ઉપયોગ કરી તેમણે વધારે કટલરીનો સામાન લાવી ધંધો શરૂ કર્યો. ધીરે ધીરે આવક થતી ગઈ. તેઓ VSSMમાં મળેલ લોનના હપ્તા ભરવાની સાથે સાથે થોડી થોડી બચત પણ કરવા લાગ્યા. ઘરને થોડું ઘણું વ્યવસ્થિત કરવામાં વધારે પૈસાની જરૂર હતી તેઓ પાસે વ્યાજે પૈસા લેવા સિવાય કોઈ ઉપાય નહોતો. થોડા ઘણા પૈસા વ્યાજે લાવી તેમણે ઝુપડામાંથી નાનકડું ઘર બનાવી લીધું. ઘર બનાવવામાં પૈસા વપરાયેલ હોવાથી તેઓ અમુક હપ્તા ભરી શક્યા નહિ પણ બધુ ધીરે ધીરે ગોઠવાતુ ગયું. જેસંગભાઈ કહે...

“બેન, તમારી દયાથી હું ઝુપડામાંથી ઘર કરી શક્યો. મારું એક સપનું તો પુરૂ થયું. હા તમારી પાસેથી લીધેલ લોન ભરવામાં થોડી ચૂક થઇ ગઈ પણ જેમ ધંધો થવા લાગ્યો તેમ મેં હપ્તા ભરવાની શરૂઆત કરી. આજે આ લોન તો પૂરી થઇ ગઈ. બહારથી વ્યાજે લીધેલી લોનના થોડા પૈસા બાકી છે પરંતુ મને પૂરો વિશ્વાસ છે કે હું એ પણ પુરૂ  કરી દઈશ. સંસ્થા અને મિત્તલબેનની મદદથી જ આ બધુ શક્ય બન્યું છે, તેમનો જેટલો આભાર માનું ઓછો છે.

જેસંગભાઈ પોતાના દીકરાઓને ભણાવી ગણાવી આગળ વધારવા માંગે છે તેમને બે છોકરાઓ અને એક છોકરી છે, એક છોકરો અને એક છોકરી સ્કુલમાં ભણવા જાય છે. તેમના ઘરેથી તેમને મદદ કરવા માટે ખેત મજૂરી કરવા જાય છે. પ્રભુને એટલી જ પ્રાર્થના કે જેસંગભાઈ ના સપના પૂરા કરવામાં તેમની મદદ કરે...
