 Bharatbhai Raval runs his home doing small business. He lives in Umbari village of Kankrej block. He has three children. Neelam is very clever among three of them. We always talk to Nomadic families that there is no upliftment without financial stability. Bharatbhai also understood this thing well so he began looking for independent and profitable business which he can do. The more he explored various businesses, more he got confused. Eventually, he could zero in on the business of making sugarcane juice. He decided not to start an ordinary sugarcane juice centre. Then started the journey of exploring the sugarcane juice centres of South Gujarat to Maharashtra . After a long trajectory he decided to make the sugarcane centre as it can be seen in the photo. 

He asked us for loan of Rs. 50,000/- but it was not possible for us to give the same immediately, so he borrowed some money and started the sugarcane juice centre. He requested us to give him loans as soon as possible. We gave him loan when it was possible for us and he repaid the money he had borrowed.

Bharatbhai runs his sugarcane juice centre in the villages on the way to Shihori from Patan. He adds pineapple juice in the sugarcane juice so, it becomes even more tasteful.  

From the mudhouse in Umbari, now Bharatbhai is living in a rented house in Shihori. He is getting good income and all the more he is paying the instalments regularly. 

Bharatbhai’s daughter Neelam is studying in 11th std and living in our Ahmedabad Hostel. He is very clever and wise. This girl is always found in the corner with a book. We pray to god that Neelam’s dream of becoming a doctor and Bharatbhai’s dream of buying his own house get fulfilled. 

We are glad to be the part of being helpful in somebody’s difficulties. But thanks to all the people who helped, our worker Naran, Ishwar and Kanubhai Raval who work with us like a fieldworker. These three friends are working for making VSSM reach deprived people.

ભરતભાઈ #રાવળ નાનુ મોટુ કામ કરીને પરિવારનું ગુજરાન ચલાવે. કાંકરેજ તાલુકાના ઉમરીગામમાં એમનું રહેવાનું. પરિવારમાં ત્રણ બાળકો. એમાં નીલમ તો ભણવામાં ખુબ હોંશિયાર. #આર્થિક સદ્ધરતા વગર ઉધ્ધાર નથી એવું હંમેશાં વિચરતી જાતિના પરિવારો સાથે વાત કરતા કહીએ. ભરતભાઈ પણ આ વાતને પોતાની રીતે બરાબર સમજેલા એટલે જ પોતાનો સ્વતંત્ર ધંધો અને પાછો સારી આવક થાય તેવો શોધવા તેમણે મહેનત આદરી. જુદા જુદા વ્યવસાયોને સમજતા ગયા તેમ તેમ ગુંચવણ વધી છેવટે શેરડીના રસ પર આવીને મન અટક્યું. પણ ચીલા ચાલુ શેરડી રસનું સેન્ટર નહીં બનાવવાનું તેમણે નક્કી કર્યું અને પછી સફર શરૃ થઈ દક્ષિણ ગુજરાત થી લઈને મહારાષ્ટ્રમાં ચાલતા શેરડીના રસના સેન્ટરને જોવાની. ઘણા પ્રવાસ પછી હાલમાં દેખાય છે તેવું સેન્ટર બનાવવાનું નક્કી કર્યું. 

અમારી પાસેથી 50,000ની લોન માંગી પણ લોન તત્કાલ આપી શકાય તેમ નહોતું આથી તેમણે #વ્યાજવા પૈસા લાવીને #શેરડીરસ સેન્ટર બનાવી દીધુ અને લોન ઝટ આપવા વિનંતી કરી. સગવડ થતા અમે લોન આપી ને ભરતભાઈએ લીધેલી ઉધારી ચુકતે કરી દીધી. 

ભરતભાઈ શેરડીના રસનું આ સેન્ટર પાટણથી શિહોરી જતા રસ્તે આવતા ગામમાં ચલાવે. પાછો શેરડીના રસમાં અનાનસ પણ નાખે એટલે રસ વધારે ટેસ્ટી લાગે. 

ઉમરીમાં માટીથી ચણેલા ઘરમાં રહેતા ભરતભાઈ હવે સીહોરી ભાડાના મકાનમાં રહે છે. મહિને દિવસે પ્રમાણમાં સારી એવી આવક થયા છે ને સૌથી અગત્યનો હપ્તો નિયમિત ભરે છે.

એમની દીકરી નીલમ અમારી અમદાવાદમાં આવેલી હોસ્ટેલમાં ધો.11માં ભણી રહી છે. ખુબ હોંશિયાર ને ડાહી દીકરી હંમેશાં ચોપડીઓના થોથા સાથે જ ખુણો શોધીને ભણવા બેસેલી જોઈ શકાય. નીલમનું સ્વપ્ન #ડોક્ટર બનવાનું ને ભરતભાઈનું પોતાનું ઘર ખરીદવાનું. બંનેના સ્વપ્ન સાકાર થાય તેવી ઈશ્વરને પ્રાર્થના..ને અમે આ પરિવારની તકલીફોમાં કોઈ વતી નિમિત્ત બન્યા તેનો હરખ... પણ આભાર મદદ કરવાવાળાનો અને અમારા કાર્યકર નારણ, ઈશ્વર અને અમારી સાથે કાર્યકરની જેમ કામ કરતા કનુભાઈ રાવળનો. આ ત્રણે મિત્રો તકવંચિતો સુધી VSSMને પહોંચાડવાનું કરી રહ્યા છે.
