Gordhanbhai Danabhai Parmar lives with his wife, one daughter and two son; in Chunarwada of Rajkot.  Gordhanbhai and his wife both together do cutlery and hosiery business. They do this business since many generations. They purchase goods from the dealers and used to end up buying goods at the rates dealers ask for. In that, whatever profit is gained, is not sufficient. VSSM worker Kanubhai knew about his situation, that if a help can be given to him then his profit can be increased. By bringing this situation to organization, Gordhanbhai was given interest free loan of Rs. 50,000. For his cutlery and hosiery business. Only on the condition that he has to pay loan installments regularly, and with that he even has to do savings. A part from that Kanubhai also recommended a shop from where he can get goods at much lower cost than be. This way Gordhanbhai started earning good profit too. From the saving, he could even repair his ancestor’s kachha house. Normally, in this time, there are many people who take loan from the bank and don’t pay back or they run away. But if we talk about Gordhanbhai, he was very regular. His monthly installment was fixed as Rs. 2500 and he used to pay Rs. 4000 instead. He has never missed even a single installment.  But at times he has paid Rs. 8000 as installment then his decided installment Rs. 4000. Currently he has savings of Rs. 7000. Currently we don’t have our own property, but because of Kanubhai’s help we have done an application for government residential plot. We have faith that one day we will have our own house…

ગોરધનભાઈ દાનાભાઈ પરમાર રાજકોટના ચુનારાવાડમાં વસવાટ કરે, પરિવારમાં તેમના પત્ની, એક દીકરી અને બે દીકરા છે. ગોરધનભાઈ અને તેમના પત્ની બંને મળી કટલરી અને હોઝિયરીનો ધંધો કરે, બાપદાદા વખતથી જ તેઓ આ વેપાર કરતા હતા. વેપારી પાસેથી માલની ખરીદી કરે પણ તેમાં વેપારી જે ભાવ માંગે તે ભાવ આપવો પડે. જેમાં જેટલો નફો થવો જોઈએ થાય નહિ. VSSMમાં કામ કરતા કનુભાઈને જાણ હતી કે જો તેમને મદદ કરવામાં આવે તો તેમનો નફો પણ વધી શકે છે. સંસ્થામાં વાત કરતા ગોરધનભાઈને કટલરી અને હોઝિયરીનો વ્યવસાય કરવા માટે રૂપિયા પચાસ હજારની વગર વ્યાજની લોન આપવામાં આવી. શરત એક જ હતી કે તેમણે લોનના હપ્તા નિયમિત ભરવાના છે અને સાથે સાથે બચત પણ કરવાની છે. તે સિવાય કનુભાઈએ એક એવી દુકાન પણ તેમને શોધી આપી જ્યાં તેમને પહેલા કરતા સસ્તા ભાવે માલ મળી રહે. આમ ગોરધનભાઈને ધંધામાં ઘણો ફાયદો થયો. થયેલી બચતથી તેમણે પોતાના બાપદાદાનું જે કાચું મકાન હતું તે સરખું કરાવ્યું. આજ ના યુગમાં કેટલાય એવા લોકો પડ્યા છે જે બેંક પાસેથી લોન લે છે પણ નિયમિત ભરતા નથી અથવા ક્યાંક ભાગી જાય છે. પરંતુ ગોરધનભાઈની વાત કરીએ તો તેમને જયારે લોન આપવામાં આવી ત્યારે હપ્તો અઢી હજાર રૂપિયાનો રાખવામાં આવ્યો હતો તેની જગ્યાએ તેઓ નિયમિત ચાર હજાર રૂપિયાનો હપ્તો ભરે છે. એવું ક્યારેય થયું નથી કે તેઓ હપ્તા ચૂકી ગયા હોય, હા એવું જરૂર બન્યું છે કે તેમને એક જ મહિનામાં ચર હજારની જગ્યાએ રૂપિયા આઠ હજાર ભર્યા હોય. હાલ પણ તેમની પાસે રૂપિયા સાત હજારની બચત છે. તેઓ વધુ બચત કરી પોતાનો ધંધો વધારવા માંગે છે. ગોરધનભાઈનું કહેવું છે કે...

અમે તો VSSMમાંથી મળેલ લોનથી જ ઊંચા આવ્યા. અમારા બાપદાદા પહેલાથી આવી જ રીતે ધંધો કરતા હતા પણ હવે અમે VSSMની મદદથી કાચા મકાનથી પાકા મકાનમાં આવ્યા. આમ તો અમારા નામે હાલ કશું જ નથી. કનુભાઈની મદદથી સરકારી પ્લોટ માટે અરજી કરવામાં આવેલ છે અને અમને પૂરો વિશ્વાસ છે કે એક દિવસ અમારું પોતાનું ઘર હશે જ...
