For them this would be children’s education, attaining two proper meals a day and money to receive medical services when required.

Dungarbhai Marwadi Devipujak (Bawari) was constantly told about the need to save by Kanubhai and Chhayaben. The continuous lecturing has brought about successive change in their life. The small scale interest free loan has helped them earn well. This year they made POP statues of Lord Ganesha. Hopefully, next year we expect them to make the eco-friendly mud Ganesha. The problem they face with the mud Ganesha is of storing them once they are made because even minor exposure to water will distorts the shape of the mud statue. We are sure to find ways to protect the statues against the elements and once they have their own pucca homes they will hardly have to worry about such issues. VSSM is striving to ensure families like Dungarbhai acquires land and assistance from government to build their own homes.

ગાંધીજી અપરિગ્રહ માટે કહેતા. પણ તમે થોડો પરિગ્રહ રાખો અને જુઓ તમે ક્યાં પહોંચી જશો. ડુંગર ભાઈ મારવાડી દેવીપૂજક (બાવરી) બસ આવી જ નાની વાતોમાંથી એ શીખ્યા. કનુભાઈ, છાયા બેન સતત સમજાવે ને જીવનમાં બદલાવ આવ્યો.. વગર વ્યાજની લૉન થાકી સારું કમાતા થયા. એમના જ શબ્દોમાં એમને થયેલો ફાયદો સાંભળો..અને હા ખાસ એમને પીઓપી માંથી આ વખતે ગણેશજી બનાવ્યા છે. માટી માંથી કે ઇકો ફ્રેન્ડલી બનાવવા અમે કહ્યું છે. આવતા વર્ષે કદાચ એ માટીનો ઉપયોગ કરે. પણ માટીમાં પ્રશ્ન મૂર્તિ સઁગ્રહ કરવાની જગ્યાનો છે. વરસાદનું પાણી અડી જાય ને માટીની મૂર્તિ પીગળી જાય એટલે એનું શું કરવું. ખેર રસ્તા એનાયત નીકળશે. સરકાર રહેવા કાયમી જગ્યા આપશે ને પાકું ઘર થશે પછી બહુ વાંધો નહિ આવે ને એ માટે અમે મથીયે છીયે... ડુંગરભાઈને vssm ના લીધે થયેલો ફાયદો એમના જ શબ્દોમાં સાંભળીયે...
