My parents came to drop me to a school in Gandhinagar when I was young. They have never been to School in their life but they know how important education is. So they put me in a school. Our home was a temporary shed . There was no light in it. I studied under street lights & passed my exams. I also got a job in a private company & the salary was just barely enough.
Meanwhile the government demolished our house in Sector 13 of Gandhinagar. We stayed in that house for many years. I realised that I will have to make my own home. I was now married and also had two children. I did not want my family to live in a temporary shed. I also realised that I will never be able to make my house from the salary I got in my job. So I decided to start a business. Many in our society were vegetable vendors. I also decided to do that. However I did not want to do that by moving around in a hand cart. I started my business by renting a shop. I also thought that in the morning I could sell vegetables by moving around in a vehicle. I had big plans but how do I implement them ?
Rizwanbhai of VSSM informed me that they would support persons like me who desire to have a business of their own.
I took out a loan twice. I now owned a vehicle and also my income increased. Thousand questions were asked in spite of being educated why I became a vegetable vendor. For me no work is big or small. I did it with dedication and that is why I became successful.
This is the story of Sanjaybhai from Gandhinagar.
Sanjaybhai's desire is to make his son an IAS officer & to see his daughter in police uniform. He works hard for this. Sanjaybhai is service minded. આવામાં ગાંધીનગરમાં અમે સેક્ટર 13માં રહીએ એ છાપરાં સરકારે તોડી નાખ્યા. વર્ષોથી રહેતા એ આશરો જતો રહ્યો. પોતાનું ઘર કરવું પડશે એ સમજાયું. મારા લગ્ન થઈ ગયા. બે બાળકો છે. મારા પરિવારને આખી જિંદગી છાપરામાં નથી રાખવો. પણ પોતાનું પાક્કુ ઘર નોકરીથી નહીં થાય. એટલે પોતાનો ધંધો કરવાનું નક્કી કર્યું.
શાકભાજીનો વેપાર અમારા સમાજના ઘણા કરે તે મે પણ એ કરવાનું નક્કી કર્યું. પણ લારી લઈને નહીં. ભાડાની દુકાનમાં શાકભાજી વેચવાનું શરૃ કર્યું. દુકાનની સાથે સાથે પોતાનું વાહન થઈ જાય તો વાહનમાં પણ સવારના ભાગમાં શાકભાજી લઈને ધંધો થાય. વિચારો તો મોટા મોટા પણ એ પુરા કેવી રીતે થાય?
VSSM માંથી અમારા જેવા સ્વતંત્ર ધંધો કરવાની ખેવના રાખનારને લોન મળે તેવું સંસ્થાના કાર્યકર રીઝવાનભાઈએ કહ્યું ને મે લોન માંગી.
મે બે વાર લોન લીધી. વાહન થઈ ગયું ને આવક પણ વધી.. ભણેલા ગણેલા થઈને શાકભાજી વેચવાનું નક્કી કર્યું લોકોના હજારો સવાલો પણ થયા પણ કોઈ પણ કામ નાનુ કે મોટુ નથી હોતું. બસ મે લગનથી એ કર્યું એટલે સફળ પણ થયો.'
ગાંધીનગરના સંજયભાઈની આ વાત.
સંજયભાઈની ઈચ્છા તેમના દિકરાને IAS અધિકારી બનાવવાની ને દિકરીને પોલીસની વર્દીમાં જોવાની. એ માટે તે ખુબ મહેનત કરે.
સંજયભાઈ ખુબ સેવાભાવી એમના સંપર્કમાં હોય ને જેઓ સ્વતંત્ર ધંધો કરવાની ખેવના રાખે તેમને લોન અપાવવાનું પણ એમણે કર્યું ને એમની બાંહેધરી સંજયભાઈએ લીધી.. આવા આગેવાનો દરેક સમાજમાં ઈચ્છનીય.. તેમના જેવા વ્યક્તિ VSSM સાથે છે એનો ગર્વ...
